So how do we adhere to party's themes?
My opinion...
👗 Dress code: Wear clothing and accessories that match the theme's style, colour scheme, or era.
👗 Decorations: Event hall should have decoration that fits the theme. You could also bring a gift that aligns, if requested by the host.
👗 Activities: Participate in theme-related games, contests or entertainment.
👗 Music and dance: Enjoy the theme-appropriate playlist and dance styles.
🍷 Food and drinks...

Yes, food 😀
Savor theme-inspired cuisine and beverages. If it's a cultural day celebration, bring and serve food peculiar to people's culture/traditions.
For a Yoruba party, I'd love Amala and a very green ewedu, tantalizing stew and goat meat. 😋😀 Forgive me, I'm not a fan of your favorite gbegiri 🙄🤪
For an Igbo party, I'd love correct ogbono that has orishirishi ob*stacles with eba (garri) or semo and maybe banga soup. 😋 😀
For hausa, the only food I can eat with my full chest is 'doya de koi'. 😋😀

I love to embrace a party's attitude a lot. It gives a kind of ginger. Especially when you have a VERY CORRECT MC for the event. (Emphasis on the CAPS LOCK 😊)
You just have to embrace the theme's energy and have fun.
