ZIA FABRICS N MORE·THURSDAY, AUGUST 20, 2020·
Most people think I'm from the North, I guess it's a story for another day. My name is Bamgbopa-Alabi Ameenah Omolara, a native of Abeokuta Ogun state. A graduate of Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta known as FUNAAB with B.Agric in Horticulture. I am married to a brilliant champ Chartered Accountant, Ibraheem Opeyemi Alabi with wonderful 3 ki
ds. Hmmmmm, to start with ZIA is not just an acronym but was put together in my kids name and our surname very funny right, lol😃 . An adage always says "Rome wasn't built in a day" that's exactly who ZIA is. Have wanted to have a business of mine own one day. The story begins when I started going to my aunties shops during my University days who sells laces at Oshodi up till date and they are still looking young and radiant. Though, they started very young and wonderfully well. During my visit in their shops I see lots of people coming to buy pushing one another and we have some that are viewers 😄😄😄. I'm always astonished looking at the massive crowd and laugh seeing them and at the same time happy when I make sales. I'm always marvelled to see customers rushing in and out of shops and the way we market to them. The way we call our customers to check our store also make me laugh. Some pull customers cloth while some doesn't. These experience gave me hope that even if I can't start big like my aunties or even sell at the market because of the huge amount of Shop rent. I can start from somewhere which I discovered to be online. Though it wasn't an easy task cos it was tough and till now but with passion, love of colours, consistency, perceiverance, hardwork, resilience, truthfulness, focus are the key to success. I have always been a lover of fabric due to texture, colour, intricate stones, beauty...that made me to embark on this journey of being a FABRIC VENDOR and as an illustrator and a designer it gave me all the good will alongside of doing marketing. Let me tell you a secret, have always been into buying and selling while in university. You know that hustling spirit, those pocket money from my parents, brothers, sisters, cousins...I do keep them for business. To let you know the zeal has always been within 😄😄😄
Before I forget, while in school I told myself I don't want start looking for a white collar job. I'm proud I made that decision for myself and I'm satisfied. In God we trust Zia Fabrics N More company is doing pretty well as a small business and we believe we are taking this brand to higher level. We say a big THANK YOU to all our prestigious customers and yet to be customers. May God continue to enrich your pockets and bless your household. Ameen
Thank you all😍
