Friday night was all about celebrating 15 years of Zaron Cosmetics ZARON, and honestly, I couldn’t think of a better reason to show up and celebrate. 🖤

Over the years, there’s one brand that has consistently shown up for me, supported my work and been part of so many chapters of my journey, Zaron.

From One Night in Lagos, to fashion events, makeup tutorials, supporting my events, makeup for shoots and shows, providing goodies for guests and just generally showing up whenever I call… Zaron has literally been there.

I can’t tell the story of my fashion journey in Nigeria without talking about Zaron. The relationship has grown from brand partnership to something that genuinely feels like family.

And yes, I actually use Zaron products! From my foundation to my Flash mascara, eyeliner and lip stick; Zaron is a big part of my makeup routine. And that signature dark lip everyone always asks me about? 😂 I naturally have dark lips, and Zaron has the perfect lip colour that works for me and has basically become my look.

So, celebrating 15 years with this incredible brand feels extra special.

Waking up to fresh flowers sitting pretty around my home has been such a little luxury. 🌸✨

And what makes it even more special? Knowing that every single one of these beauties is a tropical flower grown right here in our beautiful Nigeria. No importation, just the incredible abundance of what we already have growing on our soil. 🇳🇬🌿

My dear friend Ilona of Bird Of Paradise truly has gifted hands. The way she transforms our local tropical blooms into these magnificent, wild and colourful arrangements is simply beautiful. Every corner of my house is currently giving fresh flowers and good energy. 💐

Work mode: ON. ✨💻🏾

A little glimpse into my world yesterday, where ideas become strategy, strategy becomes ex*****on, and there’s always one more thing to do. 😂

Between meetings, emails, deadlines, creative briefs and building brands, this desk has seen it all. From YD Company (YD Limited), FashionEVO (FashionEVO FashionEVO Programs) to NOVUS (NOVUS Exhibition), my work life is a beautiful mix of purpose, pressure, creativity and plenty of coffee. ☕️

I genuinely love what I do. I love building, creating, connecting people and watching an idea move from “what if…” to “look what we’ve done.”

Some days are glamorous, Some challenging, Some chaotic, Some I just need a breather, Most days are just me, my laptop, my notebook, a very long to-do list and working with my humans at C U R A T E D B Y Y D. 😂

Anyway… back to work. There’s always another idea to build. ❤️

Such a lovely evening spent at In Vogue Casa In Vogue Group for their Tie One On event! 💐✨It was so great catching up with Dr. Promise O. Kenneth-Odum, CFD, the CEO of The Rube. I had so much fun creating my own custom floral arrangement at the Boutonnière Bar, picking up top-tier scarf styling tips, and getting full-on styled in a gorgeous Celine scarf, sunnies, and trench coat. 🧥🕶️

What an incredible milestone for African fashion! 🌟✨

As the Founder & CEO of FashionEVO FashionEVO , seeing the inaugural cohort of the F.A.S.T Accelerator graduate is a moment of immense pride. When FashionEVO Programs partnered with 360 Creative Innovation Hub to launch this 100% fully funded program, our vision was simple yet vital: talent opens doors, but business structure builds long-term legacies.

We gathered last Saturday at the British Council British Council Nigeria in Lagos for our Pitch & Graduation Ceremony, and watching these emerging fashion entrepreneurs present their business models, market strategy, and growth plans confirmed that the future of our industry is in phenomenal hands.

A special thank you to our host, Chilufya Besa (Deputy Country Director, British Council), for his inspiring welcome address and continued support for the creative economy.

Happy Birthday!!! Over the years, I have watched you pour your heart into creating opportunities, opening doors, and championing Africa’s creative economy with passion, excellence, and conviction. What many people celebrate today is your success, but I have had the privilege of witnessing the resilience, sacrifices, and countless unseen moments that have shaped the woman you are.

Thank you for believing in people. Thank you for the laughter, the difficult conversations, the brainstorming sessions, the travels, the victories, and even the lessons that have strengthened our bond. Our friendship has become one of the greatest gifts I cherish.

As you celebrate another year, my prayer is that God continues to enlarge your coast, strengthen your hands for the work ahead, surround you with genuine people, and grant you wisdom beyond measure.
