Why is the lacing section one of the most important structural areas of a corset? 👀🔥
Because this is where a lot of tension and support come together.
Fixing a lacing bar is not simply about attaching it to the corset and moving on.
The way it is secured, reinforced and finished can affect how well that section holds its shape.
That's why I'm paying attention to the structure on both sides and reinforcing important areas of the bodice.
🔥 A structured corset needs support in the places where support is required most.
Every bone, seam and reinforcement has a purpose.
And when those details work together properly, the corset becomes cleaner, stronger and more structured.

✨ STORYTIME: SHE CAME ALL THE WAY FROM GHANA TO LEARN WITH ME! 🇬🇭❤️🇳🇬
I have an online student who lives in Ghana, and she has been following my work for a while now. She believes so much in me and my teaching, and she would always tell me:
“Ma’am, I would love to come and have you teach me this corset one-on-one.” 🥹❤️
And I would always tell her, “Anytime, my lady!” 😍
Fast-forward to August...
She sent me a DM:
“Ma’am, I'll be in Lagos soon to visit my aunt. Can we do something within the period I'll be visiting?”
And of course, I said... WHY NOT?! 🔥❤️
Our academy graduation date had already been fixed, and I decided to use my graduation outfit as our practical project so she could learn the complete process from start to finish. ✨
And can you see the outcome? 😍🔥
In just 4 days of intensive hands-on physical training, we covered:
✂️ Taking measurements
📐 Drafting the pattern
🧵 Transferring the pattern to fabric
👗 Cup crafting
🔥 Caging and fleshing
✨ Bodice formation and coupling
👗 Skirt drafting and sewing
💎 Embellishment
It was truly an amazing 4-day hands-on experience, and every minute was worth it! ❤️
Seeing how happy, fulfilled, and confident she was after the training gave me so much joy. 🥹
Because honestly, that's my greatest joy—knowing that I can impact someone's life, sharpen their skills, build their confidence, and help them become more creative.
Teaching is not just what I do...
IT IS MY PASSION. ❤️

💚✨ RATE MY GRADUATION OUTFIT GUYS! ✨💚
Yesterday was our graduation ceremony at the academy, and honestly, it was LIT! 🥳🎓🔥
I had so many mixed emotions saying goodbye to my advanced students after 3 months of impactful knowledge, creativity, and practical training. We learned together, created together, laughed together, and built beautiful connections along the way. 🥹❤️
Seeing the session finally come to an end reminded me of how far we've come, and truly, we give God all the glory! 🙏✨
And of course, I had to show up in something special! 😍💚
I made this beautiful sculptured corset paired with a flowing mermaid skirt, giving classy, elegant, luxurious vibes—and honestly, it came out exactly the way I envisioned it! 🔥✨
Congratulations to all of us! 🥳🎓❤️
The graduation was a huge success, and I'm so proud of every single student who made this journey worthwhile.

Your boning is not the problem. 👀
If your corset still collapses even after inserting boning, you may be looking at the wrong thing.
Boning needs a stable foundation to work effectively.
It’s not always about using thicker or stronger bones.
Sometimes, the real question is:
“What is supporting my boning?”
That’s the part many people overlook when constructing a structured corset.

Yesterday, I showed you my physical class students learning how to take proper body measurements.
Today, I want you to see their first classroom practice in pattern drafting. ✂️📐
These students drafted using their own body measurements, right in my presence.
They drafted.
I checked.
I corrected.
They redrafted.
I corrected again — until it finally sank in.
And honestly, I am so proud of the impact I can already see. ❤️
This is one of the biggest benefits of having not just a good tutor, but a tutor who is genuinely passionate about your becoming.
I don't just want my students to copy what I do.
I want them to understand it.
I want them to know why they are doing it.
I want them to be able to pick up their tape, take measurements, draft their own pattern and confidently know what they are doing.
Because when the knowledge truly sinks in, you don't need your tutor standing beside you forever.
You become the tailor. You become the pattern drafter. You become confident.
This is only their first classroom practice, and I am already seeing the growth.
It can only get better from here. ❤️✂️

Not forgetting my little beginning. ❤️✨
For our 2-Month Physical Fashion Class, we currently have just 2 students—and honestly, I’m so proud of how far they are already coming. 🥹❤️
They are both completely new to pattern drafting, so we started from the very foundation:
📌 Taking proper body measurements
📌 Understanding the formulas required for drafting
📌 Learning essential fashion and pattern-drafting terms
📌 Writing detailed notes in class
📌 Demonstrating each process practically
📌 Using sketches to make every explanation easier to understand
And their catch-up has been SO impressive! 👏🏽
At Arcpcloset Fashion, I’m intentional about explaining things from the very beginning and breaking them down to the smallest detail. I don’t just want my students to copy what I do—I want them to understand WHY they are doing it.
This is only the beginning, and I’m excited to watch these two ladies grow throughout the next two months. ❤️✂️📐
