African fashion has often been explained from a single angle, the designer, the runway, the final look.

But as shared, being involved in African fashion goes far beyond creating garments. It is an ecosystem.

For years, the space has been framed as surviving purely on the backs of designers and their initiatives. That narrative is incomplete. Behind every strong brand or platform are layers of operations; production managers, supply chain coordinators, financial strategists, communications leads, showroom directors, logistics partners.

Creativity may be the face, but operations are the spine.

This month at Lhaude, we are spotlighting the women building and holding these pillars, the ones structuring systems, stabilising growth, and strengthening the foundation of African fashion from behind the scenes.
