"WOVEN," is a 90-minute historical docu-drama that explores the intriguing journey of the Ebira cloth.

The film traces the origins of weaving through the memories of Mama Etudaiye, a 100-year-old weaver, highlighting how this craft has sustained homes and communities for generations. While Ebira men have traditionally been farmers, the women have served as the backbone of the weaving industry. Through sub-themes of environment and agriculture, "WOVEN" offers a profound look at the Ebira people of Central Nigeria and their significant contributions to cultural identity.

From its ancient ceremonial roles in funerals and masquerades to its presence in modern fashion, the Ebira cloth has earned international recognition. It has been studied by scholars, utilized by global designers, and featured in prestigious institutions such as The British Museum and Sotheby's.

"WOVEN" is produced by Africa-Related in partnership with Ita'i Our Cloth and The Tom Adaba Legacy Foundation. We invite you to follow this remarkable journey.
