Modesty didn’t make fashion boring. Poor design did.

Somewhere along the way, we’ve started treating “modest” as though it means:

Plain.

Shapeless.

Uninteresting.

And honestly, I don’t think that’s fair.

A Muslimah can care about how beautifully her clothes are made.

She can appreciate beautiful fabrics.

She can love colour.

She can have a signature style.

She can want feminine, elegant clothing.

She can care about fit and finishing.

And still choose modesty.

Because modesty isn’t the absence of style.

It’s one of the values that guides your style.

The real challenge is creating clothing where beauty, coverage, comfort and functionality can exist together.

Imagine ordering 6 hijabs from a brand for the first time… only for the entire package to get lost before you even get to see them. 😭

That happened to one of my customers a few months ago.

She was outside Nigeria and had asked me to send her 6 Triangle Chiffon Hijabs to someone in Lagos.

The package was received, but somehow, it was later lost. 🥺

She was refunded, and I honestly wondered if I had lost a potential customer without her ever getting to experience our hijabs.

But I kept hoping she would come back.

And she did. 🥹❤️

A few days ago, she reached out again.

She sent the colours she wanted, made her payment and didn’t even need to ask for my account details this time.

I packed her order AGAIN and sent it to Lagos.

And this time, thankfully, the package has been received safely. 🤲🏽

Now I’m just waiting for her to finally wear them and tell me what she thinks. 🥹❤️

This one means a little more to me because she chose to give Amma Couture another chance even after her first experience was completely out of our control.
