My name is Alice Yagazie.

Fashion designer. Educator. Based in Owerri Nigeria.

I have spent over five years inside the Nigerian fashion training system.

What I found was not what I expected.

Trainers calling themselves fashion academies while running apprenticeships. Students paying for experiences they never received. Both sides frustrated. Both sides convinced the other was the problem.

I was one of those trainers before I understood what I was doing wrong.

That is what this page is about.

Not motivation. Not aesthetics. Not inspiration quotes.

Honest conversations about what is broken in how fashion is taught in Nigeria — and what we do about it from the grassroots up.
