WHAT GOD CANNOT DO DOES NOT EXIST .
CONTEXT IS KING IN BIBLICAL/SCRIPTURAL INTERPRETATION
“For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.”
2 Corinthians 1:20 KJV
It is imperative to understand that our belief and trust in God comes within the boundaries and confines of Christ, hence, we cannot hope for or anticipate anything that is outside Christ.
Furthermore, if we lose the context of any scripture or we quote it out of context, we are either malicious or ignorant. When Jesus said in John 14:13-14 KJV
“And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it”, it becomes very foolish to ask God for anything that is contrary to his nature believing that because he said we should ask for anything. I cannot possibly be asking God to aid and validate ‘sin’ and be holding on this scripture.
Another scripture that our Lord Jesus Christ said to his disciples is this “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.”
Matthew 18:19 KJV
It is ungodly to manipulate scriptures to suit one’s selfish interest or purpose. Imagine Brother A and Sister B agree that even though they are not married, they can have s*x and it won’t be wrong because they have agreed and asked the Lord.
When we say WHAT GOD CANNOT DO DOES NOT EXIST, which is in line with the following scriptures
1. “For with God nothing shall be impossible.”Luke 1:37 KJV
2. “But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26 KJV
3. “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me? Jeremiah 32:27 KJV
We affirm that within the context of scriptures, there’s nothing impossible for God to do. He has the ABILITY to do all things, he has the CAPACITY to do what men cannot do. It becomes foolish to ask question like Can God Lie? Can God Steal? and the likes because these were not the context of any of the above scriptures. Also note that in the context of the three above scriptures, the MIRACULOUS POWER AND ABILITY of God was being discussed.
In LUKE 1:37 Angel Gabriel was telling Mary something unbelievable and a wonder that had never happened before and she was astonished, wondering HOW it would be done and the Angel said unto her “For with God nothing shall be impossible.” in other words, WHAT GOD CANNOT DO DOES NOT EXIST.
In Matthew 19:26, Jesus also answering the amazement of the disciples when they asked him “who then can be saved” after his encounter with young rich man who wanted to gain eternal life by the works of the flesh and Jesus answered his disciples and said “With God, all things are Possible” in other words WHAT GOD CANNOT DO DOES NOT EXIST!
In Jeremiah 32, Prophet Jeremiah had given a prophecy concerning the captivity that was to come upon Judah whose King was Zedekiah, the king had locked Jeremiah up in the prison and then the Word of the Lord came to him saying “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?” Then, the Lord proceeded in telling him that what he has said previously will definitely be accomplished!
Without belaboring you with Greek and Hebrew, Semantics and Hermeneutics, the phrase WHAT GOD CANNOT DO DOES NOT EXIST, perfectly aligns with scriptures and in tandem with God’s nature. Anyone opposing it, is either being malicious, blasphemous or arrogantly ignorant.
