| DECLARE! |
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV
[1] Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
[2] by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
[3] For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
[4] and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
What is the Gospel?
Simply put, the Gospel, which is also called the good news, expresses the saving power of Jesus Christ, translating man from the deadness of his sinful nature to his new life given to him by Christ and in Christ.
The entire message of the gospel chronicles the DEATH, BURIAL AND RESURRECTION of Jesus Christ ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURE and believing on this truth IS THE ONLY WAY to salvation of mankind.
Often times we, as natural humans, tend to complicate things for ourselves because we have a Work-Reward mindset which has affected our views on salvation.
So you see a man Tithing heavily because he believes he can be saved by attempting to bribe God in spite of his unbelief, you see a woman diligent in maintaining sanitary excellence in Church because she believes keeping the house of God clean is her ticket to both earthly blessings and her salvation.
While all these things are good in itself we must understand that salvation is not based on what we do — it is a gift given by God to all mankind through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
It's only access? Believing the gospel accord to scriptures.
Ephesians 2:8 KJV
[8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Salvation is a gift! It is not earned and it's enternal!
Yes, Jesus loves you. Just believe it!
Romans 10:9-10 KJV
[9] that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. [10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
