Scarlett Johansson Tops Forbes Highest-Paid Actresses List

For the second consecutive year, Hollywood star Scarlett Johansson has topped the Forbes' list of highest-paid female actors in the world. Spurred by the success of her summer Marvel film "Avenger: Endgame", the 34-year-old actor's earning reached USD 56 million.

At number two is "Modern Family" star Sofia Vergara with USD 44.1 million earnings.

"Big Little Lies" actors Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman are placed at the third and fourth spot on the list, with the earning of USD 35 million and USD 34 million, respectively.

Jennifer Aniston, who earned in USD 28 million, rounds out the top five.

Next in the line are Kaley Cuoco (USD 25 million), Elisabeth Moss (USD 24 million) and Margot Robbie (USD 23.5 million).

Charlize Theron and Ellen Pompeo, were placed at the ninth and tenth positions, respectively.

All the earnings of the actors were calculated between the period of June 1, 2018, and June 1, 2019.

INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT LITTLE (2019)
Marsai Martin not only pitched the movie, but was one of the Executive Producers. Making her the youngest Executive Producer in Hollywood.

Tracee Ellis Ross voiced Homegirl in the movie she also plays Marsai Martin's mother on Black-ish.

Regina Hall previously worked with Issa Rae on The Hate U Give (2018) and Insecure, and with Marsai Martin on Black-ish (2014)

The teacher at Jordan's school shares a name with director Garry Marshall. Garry Marshall's sister, Penny Marshall, directed Big (1988), with which this movie has a similar premise.

When Jordan makes her entrance at the office building, there is a clear parallel between a similar scene in The Devil Wears Prada. The same score from that scene can also be heard in this scene.

Issa Rae previously portrayed a character named April in The Hate U Give (2018).

Disney dropped the second official trailer for Maleficent 2: Mistress Of Evil yesterday and it is giving us life.

The trailer reveals the antagonist, and its the legendary Michelle Pfeiffer. Who better to challenge a screen goddesss than a bigger screen goddesss.

The first installment was released in 2014, and received fairly good reviews but earned a whopping $758.5million in the box office. We can only hope for better reviews and an even better box office receipt for this sequel.

Synopsis: A look at life for a group of
high school students as they
grapple with issues of drugs,
s*x, and violence.

Rue - Zendaya
Maude Apatow - Lexi
Barbie Ferreira - Kat
Hunter Schafer - Jules

Review:
This has been a really great watch so far. A deep insight into the lives of a group of teenagers as they try to navigate their lives in a social media dominated world, dealing with love, s*x and drugs (a lot of them).
The pace is steady. It is invigorating and depressing at the same time. Just like the title, Euphoria, every episode (so far) gives a euphoric feeling.
Zendaya's performance is stellar and her depiction of OCD is too good.
However, there are scenes of violence and nudity (total nudity).
Creator, Sam Levinson, used his personal experience with drug addiction from his teen years to infuse Rue's drug addiction in the series.
The show is executively produced by Canadian born rapper, Drake.
This is a must watch.

The show is Rated 18.

An American Christian group called "Return to Order" have sent out a petition titled "Tell Netflix, Cancel Blasphemous 'Good Omens' Series" demanding that Neil Gaiman's Good Omens be cancelled. The petition has already amassed over 20,000 signatures, and it states that the miniseries is just "another step to make Satanism appear normal, light and acceptable". And of course, the group takes a major issue with the character of God being voiced by a woman (Frances McDormand). They also find issue in the fact that an angel and a demon are good friends.

The petition was addressed to Netflix. However, the six episode fantasy series was streamed on Amazon Prime in May.
Amazon Prime jokes about the petition on their tweet at Netflix saying,

"Hey [Netflix] we'll cancel Stranger Things if you cancel Good Omens".

Netflix carries on the joke by tweeting back,

"Okay, we promise not to make any more".

Despite the religious controversy around the dark comedy series, it did get really good reviews, currently holding a fresh score of 83% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Kemi Adetiba‘s King of Boys shook the country on the 26th of October, 2018 and still dominated the box-office for months and featured an imperious performance from Sola Sobowale, and a supporting act in Adesuwa Etomi-Wellinton and Toni Tones, not to mention rappers and also newcomers Illbliss and Reminisce.

The film was even rated at 8.8/10 on IMDb. However, there were bad reviews about the movie about the movie being too long, clocking at three hours.

Despite that negative review, Adetiba has announced that the movie will be re-released with an extended cut on Amazon Prime Video this Friday.
This should excite the blogs and people that signed a petition for the movie to go worldwide.

MCU's Avengers: Endgame has still failed to trump James Cameron's epic sci-fi, Avatar in the box office.

Avatar, released in 2009 still holds the world record for highest grossing movie of all time despite Disney's re-release of Avengers Endgame to try and beat Avatar.

James Cameron's Avatar still stands at the top, grossing a whopping $2.78 billion in the box office. Avengers Endgame did manage to come close, grossing up to $2.76billion worldwide (including the receipts from the re-release), but is still $26million shy from being #1 at the box office.

Both films, however, are products of Disney. So, the studio stands to gain, no matter who wins or loses.
