It’s a freestyle contest so you can have fun while at it, you don’t have to be too serious. erm, goof around a little; Smile, Laugh, Play.

Just as the tag implies, it’s your selfie so you should create your own style.

Over 25,000naira worth of prizes to be won by Contestants..

Now, here’s how it goes;
1. The selfies should be taken with your phone.
2. The selfie should be clear and should show your face (feel free to use your filters).
3. Contest will take place on Models Arena official Instagram page.
4. It’s for all females (as long as you love to take selfies)
5. Admission is LIMITED, and is on first come basis.
6. NO age restriction.
7. Registration is on.
8. Voting will start as soon as pictures of all contestants have been uploaded.
9. You can mention your friends in the comment section of your picture to solicit for their votes.
10. First 2 contestants to get up to 500likes get 1,000naira worth of airtime each. (Whether you eventually win the contest or not).

Here we go!!!


IT’S THE PHOTO CONTEST


All is set for the contest I mentioned earlier and I’m pretty excited about this.


It’s not going to be a regular photo contest as what we are used to, because, tbh I’m quite bored with all of that.


So I decided it’s going to be a selfie contest. Don’t we all love taking selfies??. Well, I don’t. But then, I realised the contest isn’t for or about me.


But I know the ladies love it..


And that’s the whole IDEA…


It’s for the Ladies!!!


So it has to be done…


I decided to make it a freestyle thing so that you can have fun while at it, it doesn’t have to be anything too serious; Smile, Laugh, Play.

There are 3 main prizes up for grabs,

But before i get to that, i would be telling you about some FRESH activities that will be coming your way on this page.

I'm pretty excited about them, it took months to decide on which activities to include, and i finally picked these.

Alright, moving on…

Model photo shoots

There are some basic points which you should aim to fulfil as a model, in terms of photo shoots and photo sessions.

Firstly, you should know how to make the photographer’s life as easy as possible. A model, who knows what he/she is doing and who does not need so much managing, will definitely take a nice stand with the photographer.

If you show flexibility and you can adapt to the setting easily, this will make the photographer feel much more at ease, and will consequently allow for the photo shoot to go according to plan without delays or disruption.

I believe that is clear too…

Now this is VERY important…

Remember is to keep yourself healthy and energetic. You should never arrive to a photo shoot looking tired and exhausted as this will have an effect on the photo shoot in a variety of ways. So remember to always get a good night’s sleep before the photo shoot and come to the shoot with energy and eagerness to work hard, as expected.

Thirdly, when you have a photo shoot scheduled, always come well prepared. Usually all details relating to a photo shoot are discussed and set beforehand, therefore coming to a shoot with all the necessary items is vital. This is a good representation of your own reliability, so in order to appear as professional as possible, make sure you come fully prepared.

In addition to that, always make sure you arrive on time. Nobody appreciates waiting around. So it’s always better to come early rather than late.

Also listen to the instructions of the photographer carefully and try to make his/her job as easy as possible. Naturally, the more a model and a photographer work together, the smoother the photo shoot, but whether it’s your first or your tenth time working together, you should always aim to ask the photographer what he or she wants in order to facilitate for the most effective working environment.

WARNING!!!

You should always make sure that you are dealing with a professional photographer, especially when it comes to test shoots. There are lots of people luring and scamming young models, A case was reported me by a friend some time last week, and I felt really bad

For this reason you should always consult a professional photographer for taking your photographs, especially if you are just starting out in the business.
