Title: The Weight of Silence

When Tunde arrived in the village after his parents’ passing, everything felt unfamiliar—the language spoken a little faster, the air heavier, the smiles thinner than he remembered from childhood visits. His aunt welcomed him with tired eyes and a forced warmth, but her husband barely acknowledged him.
From the beginning, Tunde sensed that this house had rules no one explained. Speak when spoken to. Don’t ask questions. Stay out of the way.
He obeyed.
At school, he blended into the background, his once lively spirit replaced by a quiet watchfulness. Teachers described him as “well-behaved,” but what they didn’t see was the constant tension in his shoulders, the way his eyes avoided certain gazes, or how he flinched at sudden movements.
Inside the house, the silence was louder. His aunt worked long hours, leaving Tunde alone more often than not. And in those moments, unease would creep in like a shadow stretching across the walls.
There are experiences that don’t have easy words, especially for someone so young. Tunde didn’t understand everything that was happening—only that it felt wrong, confusing, and isolating. Fear settled deep inside him, growing heavier each day he said nothing.
But silence has limits.
One afternoon, during a writing exercise at school, Tunde was asked to describe “a place where you feel safe.” His paper remained blank for a long time. Then, slowly, he began to write—not about safety, but about fear. Not directly, not clearly, but enough that someone paying attention would notice.
His teacher did.
She didn’t confront him harshly or demand answers. Instead, she offered something Tunde hadn’t felt in a long time—patience. Over days, then weeks, she created a space where he could speak at his own pace. And eventually, he did.
What followed shook the fragile balance of his world. Authorities became involved. Questions were asked that made Tunde want to retreat again, but this time, there were people who stood between him and harm.
His aunt faced a painful truth, one that shattered her trust and forced her to choose. And she chose Tunde.
The road forward wasn’t smooth. Healing rarely is. There were days Tunde felt strong, and others where the past pressed in too close. But slowly, with counseling, support, and time, he began to reclaim pieces of himself.
He found comfort in small things again—books, laughter with classmates, the quiet assurance that he was safe.
Years later, when people met Tunde, they didn’t see the boy weighed down by silence. They saw someone steady, thoughtful, and quietly strong.
His story didn’t erase what happened. But it proved something powerful:
Even the heaviest silence can be broken. And when it is, it makes room for something stronger—truth, healing, and hope.

A simple mistake can ruin your marriage.
Last year I was out for a week and I sent a text saying, "I'm enjoying her" instead of, "I'm enjoying here"

An 18yrs old boy stole a phone from a neighbor that was valued at #50,000 the boy was arrested by the police & his poor parents were asked to pay #250,000 to free him, the parents struggled & managed to raise the money for the police so as to bail out the boy, as they were driving home, the parents pleaded with their son, "never should you repeat this kind of nonsense young man, don't you see how much your b@d behaviour has cost us. The boy replied Daddy don't worry your #250,000 is here with me I stole it from the drawer when I was being released"

Now the question is if you were the parents
1) Will you return the boy to the police station?
2) Will you return the money to the cops?
3) Will you punish the boy?

HONEST RESPONSE PLEASE
