Mr Chad, a struggling business executive, overwhelmed by debt, found himself pondering his company's bankruptcy from a park bench. He saw no way out. An old man, identifying himself as John D. Rockefeller, approached him, and after listening to his troubles, wrote him a check for $500,000. The old man told him to take the money and meet him back in one year to repay the loan. The executive, stunned, placed the uncashed check in his safe. He didn't use the money, but the very existence of it gave him a renewed sense of confidence. He became bolder in negotiations and more optimistic in his deals.
Within a few months, his business turned around. He was out of debt and profitable again. A year later, he returned to the park to meet the old man, only to see a nurse grabbing the old man and saying, "I'm so glad I caught you! You are always escaping and telling people you're John D. Rockefeller". Mr Chad was left standing there, stunned, realizing the check was worthless. He finally understood that it wasn't the supposed money that had saved his business, but his newfound self-confidence. The belief that he had a safety net gave him the courage to achieve anything he went after.

What a mighty God we serve! It is appropriate to enumerate these promises and to be thankful to God for them. Firstly, He said we should not fear, for He is with us. Secondly, we should not be confused or suffer dilemmas, for He is our God. Thirdly, He will strengthen us. Fourthly, He will help us. Fifthly, He will uphold or promote us. In simple words, we are unbeatable and unstoppable and cannot be pulled down. Praise the Lord! Share your thoughts with other learners.
