THE MAN THAT RAISED THREE GENIUSES WITHOUT TEACHERS
This is long article but if you take the time to read then you will get the point
Few years ago I was fresh out of university and all I could think of was how much money I was going to make working in a big corporate environment.
I was so sure of this that I bought suits and two pair of shoes beforehand but no matter how much I searched I couldn’t find a job and I had to settle with living in my aunt’s boys quarters.
Out of desperation I decided to take a home lesson job teaching two kids for 14,000 every month and to make matters worse one of them was very difficult and nonchalant when it was time to learn.
The child wasn’t just difficult, his father also had one strong demand, he told me his son was writing three common entrance examinations in few months and he needed him to pass them all.
So I had this child who would do anything to escape studying and a dead line that was just few months away and I was earning just 14,000 so I became so frustrated and I decided to quit until I read the story of the man in the picture above.
The man above is my mentor, the man who famously declared that any healthy child can become brilliant even before he had a child of his own;
in fact he planned to raise super brilliant children before he knew who he would marry.
To make it even more intriguing he was already writing a book about raising his smart children years before they came to the world.
The man in the picture is Hungarian educationist Lazlo Polgar, the man who on his first meeting with his wife which included a dinner and a walk around Budapest told his future wife how exactly his children’s education would pan out.
What was surprising was the fact that he decided to do this without a school environment using ideas he learnt from studying over 4,000 geniuses including Albert Einstein and Isaac Newton.
Thankfully he was blessed with three daughters Judit, Sofia and Susan and the moment they were of age he went to work on their minds using patterns he had learnt and proving conclusively in the process that the greatest teacher a child can have is the parent.
He taught them how to play the game of chess to the best of his ability and then allowed their minds to stretch so wide that at a young age they became the greatest at a game that Chess grand-master Nigel Short once said women aren’t good at.
At age 6 Judit was already defeating great players without even looking at the board and became the youngest chess grand-master of all time at that time at the age of 15 and is today regarded as the greatest female player of all time.
Her sisters too achieved grand master status earning millions in price money and going ahead to coach chess teams comprising of geniuses who still can’t match them in speed of thought and style of play.
I know here in Nigeria Chess might not come across as a great feat of intelligence but that is totally wrong because plays chess at a high level requires I.Q points that can only be found among exceptionally brilliant people.
Those girls reached that exceptional level and they become worldwide celebrities and friends with world leaders because their father alongside their mother decided they were raising geniuses despite the fact that they were in the midst of a war.
With that in mind I went back to my teaching Job after searching for factors that make children brilliant and suddenly things changed.
My student got better and today he is a student in command secondary School Abuja.
Before I finish this article I will like to point out few specifics that made those children certified geniuses in their fields.
PARENTS NOT TEACHERS MAKE BRILLIANT CHILDREN
First of all it is a known scientific fact that most of a child’s mental strength comes from the mother but more than that the parents are responsible for the level of brilliance exhibited by their kids.
Your child’s teacher’s job is to pass information to your child, teaching your child to grow his or her mind’s capacity and memory level is up to you and the activities you put them through at home.
STARTING EARLY IS GREAT-
Lazlo Polgar started teaching his kids how to be great chess players as soon as they could talk and by the time they were six they were competing and beating adults.
In fact one of his kids Judit once beat an adult player without looking at the board at age 6.
TEACH YOUR CHILD HOW TO THINK NOT WHAT TO THINK
One quality of brilliant people is the ability to think of more than one way to solve a problem; sadly that ability can be killed by parents.
Always allow your child to think wide and wild and never force the way you think a problem should be solved on your child, instead always say something like ''every problem has a solution and I need you to think about it and solve it.
Allow mental freedom and your child’s mind will grow at a rate that will surprise you.
This is my welcome gift to you lovely parent, stay through the weeks and you will get more articles like this that will change your children.
