In my own opinion this is two different generations and having a yam barn is one of the symbol of a wealthy and providing husband. in this our generation a man may not have a yam barn or big farm land but there are a lot of things he could use to show how providing and caring he is like sending his children to good schools of which was not taken as anything back then even cars in the garage is a symbol of wealth talk more of buying fuel 👀 let's not even go that side.
Those days a man can have three to four wife who works with their children in the farm land to bring to the success of this yam barn but now as we all know polygamy isn't accepted anymore even you as a woman won't accept it 🤷.
So let's accept the fact that men of this present generation provide he may not have a car but having kids in school and providing daily meal for his family shows he is rich. Some guys do provide when they are not yet married with children sef (if you know you know 😅).
So if you like call your man di ji, nna anyi, baby ,tata mu man where go provide go provide.
