Colombia me duele 💔

It hurts to read about the violence in Cauca, so close to places that are part of my own story between Cali and Pasto. It reminds me of a wound from 30 years ago, when I lived there, with a lot of violence.

Colombia, my country, is bleeding. There is fear, pain and confusion 💔💔💔

But I choose to hold on to hope. From my heart, and from Tezoro, I believe we can keep weaving beauty, memory, and connection. We are more those who choose life.

Soms dragen we allemaal iets met ons mee: een wens, een gedachte, iets wat nog geen plek heeft. Iets om vast te houden, te geven, of juist los te laten.

Bij WensVis Westland, mijn community art project, krijgt dat een vorm in een klein visje van kralen, geïnspireerd in het boek: de mooiste vis van de zee.

Wat me raakt, is wat er gebeurt als we samen maken: mensen openen zich, verhalen komen boven, en dan voel je je niet meer alleen!

🐟 Visje voor visje groeit dit project in het Westland!
Dankbaar dat ik dit samen mag doen met 6 sociale culturele organisaties. Kleine gebaren, grote gevolgen.

In april en mei geef ik workshops in het Westland. In de bibliotheek in Wateringen in het Spaans, mijn moedertaal
Inschrijven gaat via de organisaties zelf.

Misschien maak je er één.
Misschien vind je er één.
Misschien draag je even een wens met je mee.
