LPRD_design

LPRD_design LPRD creates fashionable high performance athletic clothing, with a quirky touch of leopard print. Leopard print. You either love it or you hate it.

We at LPRD love it, and would like to dress ourselves head to toe in leopard, especially when working out. We produce all our clothes in Amsterdam, the Netherlands using the highest quality fabrics and techniques. There is no compromise in performance, but we strive to make you feel comfortable on and off the bicycle or on the way to the gym.

It's with a mix of excitement and nostalgia that I announce the end of an era. After a fantastic nine-year journey, LPRD will be hanging up its cycling kit at the end of September 2024.

The idea for LPRD started more than 10 years ago when I - a passionate cyclist with an undeniable love for leopard print - couldn't find cycling clothes that matched my style. LPRD was born. My mission was simple: to create sports outfits that made you feel confident and empowered, so you can move fast like a leopard 😉

I've loved every minute of this adventure. From designing bold prints to seeing you rock LPRD gear on your rides, your enthusiasm has fueled my passion. I’m incredibly grateful for your support and for being part of the LPRD family.

While this chapter is closing, I encourage you to keep the LPRD spirit alive. Whether it’s the confidence boost from wearing leopard print or the joy of discovering new cycling routes, let’s continue to celebrate the love of cycling and personal style.

There are still some LPRD gems available in the Sale section of the website. And if you are ever in need of leopard printed items and can’t find what you’re looking for, feel free to reach out.

Thank you again for everything!!

With love and gratitude,

Anneloes

Mannen zien fietskleding vaak als onderdeel van hun gear. Vrouwen zijn te realistisch om te denken dat een shirt van 180 euro het verschil maakt. Het enige dat echt telt: een zeem die de vrouwelijke anatomie volgt.

🖤 The Subtle Leopard 🖤

Besides the head-to-toe leopard print options, I wanted to add something more subtle to the LPRD collection, so I designed this black kit with leopard details.

Besides that, I developed the sportswear onesie / romper: a onepiece that has a slightly loose fit, still perfect for cycling but not skintight spandex.

⚡ Leopard Print Throwback ⚡

It's now been more than 6 years since I've started LPRD, can't believe how time flies... This image is from the first photoshoot we did, when my partner and I were on a trip to Cape Town, where he is from.
Years prior to launching the brand I started roadcycling a lot myself and noticed that there was little cyclingwear out there designed for women, so I started to develop items that I would want to wear. This needed to be something fun, powerful and high-performance, resulting in LPRD!

The main idea was to create leopard printed sportswear, ranging from subtle details to prints from head-to-toe. The leopard print is designed by me, each spot hand-drawn to create the perfect pattern.

So after more than 6 years, I still think everyone should be Fast Like a Leopard 😁

Cycling Trip - Part 3 - Carretera Austral to Santiago de Chile

Cycling the Carretera Austral was truly epic! The landscape was spectacular but what was also great was that we met other cyclists!! We were even joined by British cyclist Kendal for a couple of weeks, and besides enjoying her company, one of the other benefits was that she made a lot of awesome pictures of the two of us cycling together :)

When we parted ways, Adrian and I decided to follow the Chilean coastline for the remainder of our trip. In Constitucion we bought surf gear (a surfboard for Adrian and a bodyboard for me) and the last 500km of our trip we cycled with the surf gear strapped to our bicycles - see pic. 6!

Cycling Trip - Part 2 - Ushuaia and Torres Del Paine

Next part took us from Ushuaia, over Tierra del Fuego to Torres del Paine, and was one of the most stunning parts of the trip!! Tierra del Fuego was especially stunning. Most of the cyclists we met cycle from the north to the south, but we did it the other way around. The whole area is notorious for its strong winds (see the tree in pic.4).
Most days we would make sure to get onto our bikes around sunrise, and cycle to about midday, which is the time where the wind got so strong it made cycling impossible.
The landscape however was truly spectacular!! And where on the first part of the trip we didn't meet any other cycle tourist (!!) it was nice to meet people this time 😆

Cycling Trip - Part 1

I like to share with you these photos of the LPRD research trip, or actually it was a good excuse to go on an extended cycle-tour 😄

In Fall 2017 my partner and I decided to go on a long trip, with bicycles, and tour in the LPRD cycling gear. About six weeks after creating this plan we landed in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and our adventure was about to start!

Little did I know that about six months later we would have covered over 5000km in matching leopard print leggings🐆🐆

The first part took us from Buenos Aires to Bahia Blanca along the Argentina coast. After that we flew to Ushuaia, and were fortunate enough to even take our bikes for a little spin on the Falklands / Las Malvinas.

Photo 1: Already a good two weeks into the trip, at Faro - Argentina, not Faro - Portugal 😆

2: Departure day in Buenos Aires

3: One of our campsites along the way, at the Salado River

4: Me posing in front of a mural painting in the Mar del Plata harbour

5: The roads were mostly flat, making it easy to adjust coming from The Netherlands

6: On the Falklands / Las Malvinas, going for a drink after a short bike-ride

7: The road on the Falklands / Las Malvinas

Curious to find out more about our trip, send me a DM!
