Simply can’t decide whether this picture is more captivating in color or black and white, so posting them both 😄. What do you think? I think either way it’s downright classy and sexy, which is an excellent line to walk if you ask me. And yes, that dress with matching floor-length veil is a one-of-a-kind Lilli Turner creation 💁‍♀️ (wish you could see the whole thing in one frame — darn IG dimensions). Thanks to the beautiful bride for sharing her pictures with me! More to come 🌸🌸🌸

At long last! Presenting: both the bridal jumpsuit (which you could definitely wear to some other fab event in the future) and — in terms of the shoot as a whole — the culmination of many talented peeps' hard work and craftsmanship! Also, slight tangent but speaking of events: BIG hugs to everyone struggling and dealing with uncertainty right now ❤️🙏

As far as the jumpsuit goes, here are a few of the more notable design details (more on my process later):
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨ three layers – one blush satin, one with transparent glass beads and sequins (subtle bling 💁‍♀️) and an organic lace that's heavy on bottom and slowly thins out as it "grows" up
✨ three mother-of-pearl buttons at center front
✨ a matching leather belt with a rose gold button-stud closure
✨ an attachable tulle overskirt (not pictured here, to state the obvious)
✨ a drop crotch (also not really pictured here, but obviously more pics to come — and may I just say that, if you ask me, the term “drop crotch” looks much cooler than it sounds 😜)
✨ a deep v-shaped back that's simultaneously “open” and undergarment friendly
✨ an invisible zipper at center back so you don’t have to take everything off just to go to the bathroom 🤣
✨ and perhaps everyone's favorite: pockets! 😄

First look at another yours-truly creation! And a little update from this small corner of the world. I've been quiet here the last few weeks, largely because my family and I have been getting over our own bout of illness 🤦‍♀️ and partly because I've been a little speechless. I've started writing a post multiple times but it’s hard to find the "right" words to break the world-turned-upside-down ice. I simultaneously want to hug everyone, say something profound and pretend, at least on here, that everything is normal. But since all of those feel impossible in various ways, I'm sharing some of my joy (this bride!) and sending you all my love instead. More of both to come, of course 💕 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Sometimes I get a lil’ crush on a specific fabric.. and currently I find myself dreaming about this one 💕 I’m imagining a long-sleeve top with a back panel that goes down to just above the floor (like an attached veil of sorts) paired with some soft white trousers. Who’s with me? 👌👌👌

Friday vibes 🥳 ! Also: this lace (zoom in for a closer look 😍)! Still one of my personal favorites and I’ve been around the lace block a time or two by now. The color, its organic shapes, the sheen, the feel, the way its 3D qualities change ever so slightly with the movement of the body ✨ and — perhaps most important of all — how good it looks while you're doing the limbo! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

When was the last time YOU did the limbo? Personally I can’t even remember the last time 🤔 dang it! May need to break out my own feather boa and rectify that this weekend 😅 who wants to join me?! In person or, you know, just at approximately the same time in the comfort of our own respective living rooms? 🤣👊

You saw it twirling, now here's a closer look! The back of this dress was my absolute favorite. Also: its playfulness, the 50s silhouette, the minty/blueish underlayer, the 3D flowers, I could go on... Although the best part was for sure just how much it *was* the bride. It is SO fun and gratifying to create something that so perfectly suits someone’s own unique personality.

A piece of a top (in the making) from one dress and the belt from another (plus some leftover scraps around the neck 😆). Didn’t make these to go together but gotta say: I like it.

Hoping to find more moments to share stuff soon! Between lots of work and a couple sick kids (yay autumn 🍂) I haven’t been very active on here lately, but some day I’ll sleep again — I mean have time to post stuff on social media 🤣

V neck with lace and a rounded back? V neck without lace and a deep V-shaped back? Rounded neck with lace and a V-shaped back with little buttons? Etc, etc..🤔😄 I’m actually not asking for your opinion here (as much as I appreciate it, generally speaking 😙), I’m giving you a glimpse into how it feels to be my client! Because I’ve been MIA on here recently due to insane busy-ness in the studio — but now that I have a bit of room to breathe again I wanna start bringing you all up to date.

This here dress is one of the reasons I was so busy. And these here illustrations were part of our process. We had decided on a lot of the major elements of our design, but still needed to hammer out the details so I could get to work. So I whipped up these drawings to help ✨ just one of the many reasons I like making my renderings on the computer as opposed to by hand. I actually started making one by hand again recently since it’s been a while and I wondered if I was missing out on anything by skipping the literal pen and paper, but I am now 100% convinced that digital is the way to go for me — at least when it comes to garment renderings. It’s fast, I like the way it looks and it’s easy to make subtle variations for comparison!

Soooo which elements did the bride choose? I’ll let her reveal that one 😊 and she’s already a married lady so the pictures are in the works! @ Capitale des Pays-Bas

I recently had the best problem: I had to come up with a new lace combination because a client chose the ones I was thinking of using for my jumpsuit 😄 so back to the drawing board I went and this is what it churned out! More or less. One is actually a swatch of a fabric I purchased for the jumpsuit and two are just scraps I had laying around that look similar to the fabrics I’m planning on using. Which is which, you ask? Well gosh, it wouldn’t be very nice of me to ruin the suspense like that now would it. To be continued! @ Amsterdam, Netherlands
