KRUL 1970 Fashion & Design

KRUL 1970 Fashion & Design Blanket Coats by KRUL "wrap yourself in luxury". pieces with an almost couture feeling. And I love making garments like that. DFK.

It’s my goal to create pieces with such an outspoken quality, that women will put them on their ‘must-have list’. The concept of my line is to make a series of Blanket Coats / Jackets and to execute the same pattern with multiple kinds of fabric. Various types of quality and finishing methods will result in garments with a different feel and look, emerging from the same pattern. The woman wearing

my pieces will be able to pick a garment based on where she’s going and what kind of fabric would be appropriate, but look elegant whatever she chooses. This line will start with a solid base of garments, but will be amplified with additional pieces and altered details during the season. Although the world of fashion has changed a lot since the start of my fashion career, people will always want beautiful, long lasting and special fashion pieces. With my wide range of experience and knowledge of fashion, my devotion, taste, vision and outlook on life, I believe I can create a line that will make a difference.

“Neonology”

From an early age I’m fascinated by lamps, and light. Neon lights in particular have my interest.

They are part of popular culture, used for signs and billboards and often seen fluttering and flickering in big cities and along the roads highways we travel
towards our destination.

In movies they are often used for their pop culture image and combined with music they give each scenery a coloured glow. Because of this fluorescent inner glow they give a room, a place or a street a special look. If you place these lights inside an empty room or hall they become pieces of art and are often used for art installations and pieces by many artist and designers.

I’m interested in the colours they give and the mood they set.

The tracing effect Fluor light gives a shape I used for a series of drawings and designs.
I used only black and sharp neon yellow as my main colours. It has all the intrinsic values
I want and need.
A colour group that stands on itself and doesn’t need much. I will be forever in love with neon and will often use it in my drawings and design may they be classical or sober sophisticated modern in approach.

Remember modern is already more the 100 years old. A3 paper with neon pencils, felt tip pens and markers & ink

"Under the blue line" A depiction of reality is seldom the truth, a hidden world of meaning and wonder lies blow the surface of a lines and shapes.. With each stroke carefully placed with each randomness carefully unhinged I'm showing what I feel could be a new reality. Sober thoughts and clear mind visited by troubled blue water. A3 crème paper, eco line blue and black ink, felt tip marker. A video compilation of single hand made drawings.
