Donato Vitone: Fashion Designer

Donato Vitone was born in October 1992 in Acquaviva delle Fonti in the Apulian region of Southern Italy. His mum is a skilled dressmaker and knitter and as a kid he was fascinated by fashion, dressmaking, illustration and all the attendant know-how and skills. He studied garment construction, tailoring techniques and manufacture for five years at a specia

lized industry-oriented high school in Acquaviva and after graduation interned at the ‘Teresa Tardia Confezioni’, a garment factory in Martina Franca (Apulia). In 2011 he transferred to Milan to study Fashion Design at the ‘Istituto Marangoni’. He is a final year student there specializing in Womenswear.

Nasce il 26/10/1992 ad Acquaviva delle fonti, piccolo paese della regione Puglia. Figlio di una magliaia, riceve sin da piccolo degli input verso il mondo moda maturando questa spinta nel corso degli anni, fino a decidere di fare della curiosa passione la sua professione. Frequenta nel suo paese l'Istituto professionale con indirizzo Abbigliamento e moda, ricevendo così le prime nozioni di confezione/ modellistica. Riceve l'opportunità lavorativa a titolo di stagista presso l' azienda Teresa Tardia, produttrice di capispalla, ARTELIER atelier per la confezione di abiti teatrali, e successivamente anche in un'azienda di abbigliamento per bambini Ambarabà, con il ruolo di assistente designer. Conclude il percorso scolastico nel 2010/2011 diplomandosi in tecnico di abbigliamento e moda. Nel medesimo anno decide di proseguire i suoi studi per sviluppare e affinare maggiormente il suo senso moda. Si trasferisce a Milano iscrivendosi presso l' Istituto Marangoni dove attualmente è in corso il suo anno conclusivo e dove riceverà il suo diploma in fashion design donna.
