Community, Camaraderie, and Cohesion

We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported us during our sample sale. Your love, feedback, and encouragement have helped us grow—not just as a community, but as a family. This experience has inspired us to return to our craft, creating sets of cups that we hope will bring warmth, joy, and meaning to your lives this holiday season.

Over the past few months, we’ve poured our hearts into designing pieces that embody connection and togetherness. Each color we’ve crafted was chosen with care, hoping to bring happiness, spark memories, and foster closeness in your daily lives.

This wouldn’t be possible without the incredible people we’re lucky to call friends and collaborators. They share our values, and we’re excited to share their talents with you.

We’re thrilled to welcome back and two new guests to the Bird Tsang family: .ams and .muffins.

Cody from Good Beans will be serving his signature brews, including Moroccan-inspired spiced coffee, from 11:00 AM on Friday and Saturday. He’ll also have some curated coffee items available, perfect for pairing with your Bird Tsang creations.

The Café de Linden team—Matt, Ollie, and Mattis—embody the heart of hospitality and gift-giving. Though they’ve been open for less than a month, they’ve already created something extraordinary. On Saturday at 18:00, they’ll share wines from their personal cellars, inviting you to join their world of warmth. Their approach to community through food and drink inspires us deeply, and we’re honored to have them with us.

Finally, I want to introduce Rita Chen, a dear friend who has been an unwavering support in my journey. Rita is sharing her incredible pizzas on Saturday at 18:00, and they’re first come, first served—so be sure to arrive early!

This event is all about sharing time, stories, flavors, and joy with the people who make it all worthwhile—you. We can’t wait to welcome you into our space and celebrate this special time together.

Special Moment of the Day – The Baburu Way

Growing up in a Taiwanese household, sharing home-cooked dinners was always the most important part of my day. My grandmother, Nainai, was the best cook I knew. I loved accompanying her to the market in the mornings—she was familiar with every vendor, and we always found the best, freshest produce. Nainai was a magician, preparing meals for a family of 10 or more in a tiny kitchen equipped with just two gas burners, a rice cooker, and a toaster. I'll never forget the afternoon she taught me how to make fish balls from scratch, using nothing but a somewhat sharp knife, a cutting board, and a pot of hot water.

Even after decades spent working at prestigious establishments across Europe and beyond, I find myself yearning for those moments when I learned from my hero.

I could compile a list of places I've worked and tell other stories. However, what truly inspires me to continue cooking and sharing my passion is the opportunity to create that special moment of the day—when people gather around the dining table to share a meal together. A meal made with good conscience for everyday people.

Baburu is a pizza project I've been nurturing for many years. While I have always loved pizza, I grew up eating ultra-processed versions. The first time I tasted a pizza made at a little family-owned restaurant in the hills of the Amalfi Coast, I was awestruck. It was a simple Margherita, but watching the dough stretch and bake in a wood-fired oven felt whimsical to me.

Sitting in a courtyard surrounded by lemon trees, enjoying that pizza, I dreamed of the life I wanted to lead. I aspired to learn the craft and run a beach shack ever since. While the beach part is still a work in progress, I was fortunate to spend many years working with some of the best, and I can no longer wait to share some pies with you.

This season, we’re unveiling our custom colorways: Wild Strawberry, Persimmon, and Cacio e Pepe. We’re excited to welcome each of you to our space to explore these creations and more.

Our dream is to foster a community that grows alongside us. We aim to create events that connect new faces to our family while offering a space for everyone to feel involved in our process and our vision for the next five years.

At Bird Tsang, we believe in the power of collaboration. We are only as strong as the sum of our collective, and we deeply value each and every one of you.

Family, Food, and Festivities — they give us moments to pause, reflect, and cherish the ones we hold dear. At The Bird Tsang, our family business, we’ve always believed in the power of these moments. Looking back, it’s clear that we wouldn’t have made it this far without the love and support of our wonderful community. We’ve been shaped by our journey and strengthened by the warmth of those around us.

This year has been a whirlwind of working with so many incredible people—chefs, restaurateurs, and fellow small business owners. Each of us has a unique reason for doing what they do, and every connection has reminded us why we love what we do. It’s been inspiring to witness their passion, and we feel so grateful to be part of this shared journey.

We want to thank each of you for being part of our story, for standing by us, and for helping us grow. Every step we’ve taken has been a step closer to creating something beautiful together, and we’re so excited to continue this journey with you.

That’s why we’re thrilled to invite you to our studio on October 26th and 27th for our yearly Sample Sale, starting at 11 AM. But there’s even more to celebrate—we’re teaming up with Wines and to make this event truly special!

Theo of Troppo Giovane Wines is a dear friend who helped me get my first job as a chef. His passion for wine constantly inspires me to grow, and his kindness and support mean the world. And Cody from Good Beans, though a newer friend, has quickly become a kindred spirit—he shares our deep commitment to community and giving back, and we’re so excited to collaborate with him.

Please join us! Cody will be making coffee for everyone, and Theo will be pouring bubbles to warm your hearts. At 4 PM we'll be serving snacks and opening up a wine bar. We can’t wait to celebrate this special moment with you all.

A little stroll through the tasting menu at .rest, which was an explosion of bold colors. The deep crimson red glaze, as well as the bright yellow, seamlessly blended with the vibrant turquoise colored bar. I am also thrilled to report that table-side flambéing and shiny glazes are making a huge comeback this year! Kudos to the entire crew at Europa, always a pleasure designing new pieces for y'all.
