BENZAK is a European denim and lifestyle brand from Amsterdam. Founded in 2013, BENZAK set out with denim mill.

Benzak Denim Developers represents the love and passion for Japanese denim and craftsmanship, combined with contemporary European fits. All jeans are made in Kojima, Japan, from the finest Japanese selvedge denim, made in collaboration with Collect Co. Every detail is there for a reason, and has its own purpose and function, without doing any concessions on quality or design. BENZAK - EUROPEAN MAD

E is brought to life to develop high quality basic jeans and other garments without the addition of expensive detailing, focusing on the 3 most important factors: good fits, quality fabrics and clean constructions. The entire line is produced in small ateliers in Portugal. Only fabrics that are made in Europe are being used. All close to home, and supporting European workers, we can proudly say this line is European made.

We’ve restocked our selvedge denim lineup in a substantial way. This drop includes three different fabrics across multiple cuts, making this a pretty significant restock.

The B-02 REGULAR STRAIGHT, which has a classic high rise and straight legs, has been restocked in the 13 oz. black slub selvedge. This fabric gets its character from the slubby warp yarns, giving it an uneven structure.

After a long hiatus, the B-07 RELAXED STRAIGHT in our 15 oz. vintage indigo selvedge is finally back in stock.

The B-07 currently is the fullest jeans cut available in our collection, with a comfortable and relaxed fit on the hips.

To reduce waste and make better use of our materials, we produced a limited run of tote bags using leftover selvedge denim fabrics from previous productions. Instead of letting these fabrics go unused, we selected four different denims and gave them a new purpose.

All tote bags share the same design. One side is printed with the main BENZAK logo, while the other side features the BENZAK sportswear logo, both in white print. The handles are lined with leftover 100% cotton fabric, allowing us to utilise even more materials that would otherwise go to waste.

Since multiple fabrics were used, the exact denim of your tote bag will be selected at random.

We’re now six months in, which means I’ve already been wearing my pair of B-02 REGULAR STRAIGHT 14 oz. green cast selvedge for half a year as well.

In the last update I mentioned that I was considering giving them their first wash, but I eventually decided to postpone it a little longer. Now, one month later, I’m facing the same question again: to wash, or not to wash?

All these fabrics are developed and produced by Candiani Denim in Robecchetto con Induno, Italy.
