The skirt is called Molise — a limited-edition piece, designed by me, as with every garment in my Club Cinq collection.
The fabric comes from the Como region of Italy, its origins somewhere among the old Italian fashion houses, though I no longer know exactly which ones. My mother found these textiles years ago, and they were kept for decades in the quiet depths of her old linen cupboards, folded among antique lace and forgotten treasures.

I like the idea that they were never meant to disappear — only to wait.
Now, they have become something else. Something new, carrying a little of what came before.
