ad it. designed by former Joseph creative director Camille Serra, the collection captures, remembers and reinterprets with empathy, reaching out to all that we may have in common.

james k has always been deeply emotional. she just needed time to fully own it. “more recently i’ve been able to open myself up and really show that core,” she says. “that’s just getting older.”

she gets dressed for a show the same way she builds her sound — intuitively, with a little red thread. recently, that throughline was color: muted pinks, whites and neutrals. “pink has that vibrancy,” she says, “but it also makes people calm. that duality is really a part of my sound.”
and that’s exactly what it felt like when she performed at our new york city flagship.

zsela grew up between new york and los angeles. “when you move a lot, home really becomes wherever you are or who you’re with,” she says. “mine is my family.” on mercer st., a room full of people made our flagship feel like home.

sihwan’s family has a ritual that started when he was a child: fried chicken at 10pm. “i only realized after becoming an adult that not many other families do this,” he says. some things feel universal until you look around and realize they’re entirely your own. family bowl was one more thing to add to the list.

nana’s husband sean, the most recent addition to the family, noticed something immediately upon joining. everyone is always cracking jokes, whenever they possibly can.

“since i was born into that environment,” nana says, “i just took all the giggles for granted.” chunja — the self-described diva, about to turn 90 — leads by example. at family bowl, in high spirits in extreme cashmere, she proceeded to bowl for the very first time.
