When people ask me to how much to alter a garment.
It's not only the garment alterations your getting you are getting the knowledge, the experience, the patience that it takes to alter a garment correctly.

I had a customer bring me some tights that had been alter previously. Because the person prior didn't know how to do stretch fabric the tiny stitches took 3hrs to unpick ensuring not to damage the material.

Here is what the customer brought me vs how they are going home.

Lots of people can sew but it doesnt mean they can alter garments
