What is Fashion Revolution?
Founded after the Rana Plaza disaster in 2013, when a cry for help was finally heard. Fashion Revolution has now become one of the world's largest fashion activist movements. Uniting those who never had a voice to finally demand respect, equality and compassion. Through research, education and advocacy, Fashion Rev has become globally recognized for their educative culture, asking for transparency throughout the industry from designers, policymakers, brands, and retailers, to producers, makers and garment workers who all share a passion for fashion.
• VISION - "A global fashion industry that conserves and restores the environment and values people over growth and profit."
• AIMS -
• End human and environmental exploitation within the industry
• Better, safe and dignified working conditions & wages
• Stronger labour movement in the global fashion industry
• Boycott fast-fashion and throw away culture
• Restore heritage, craftsmanship and local wisdom
- Asking for transparency from 'What's in my fabric?" to "Who made my clothes?" These posters are some of the real-life initiatives which have taken place during Fashion Rev week. Inspired and excited, we'd like to join & share with our customers some of the people who we closely work with, and who help transform our imagination into beautiful creations. Shown above are two young ladies who we work. As the production is done locally, mostly in Nederweert, we are blessed to have the opportunity to work closely with our producers and follow through the whole production
