Rosies Art

Post Apocalypse-inspired one of a kind designer costumes Rosies Art is a small underground design label and the brainchild of designer Rosa Bohaemia.

Clients include bands such as Schwarzblut and Delain. At the moment Rosies Art focusses on Wastelander/Post Apocalyptic designs, but with an emphasis on high fashion design instead of cosplay. So its unique; but at least half of what we make can be worn 'at the office' as well as to a festival or fancy dress event. Everything in the shop is handmade by the owner of the label, and not one article is the same as any other!

On my intern Lynns’ final day, she finished these lovely new Amaranth coats! So proud of all she achieved! Took the pictures in my boring hallway on my sh*tty crooked mannequin doll 2 minutes before I had to leave. Should do a decent photoshoot asap, but coulden’t wait to share….

Yaay! A little light at the end of the unlucky holidays we had this year: Rosies Art has been admitted to De Duystere Markt Eindhoven this year as a vendor. Just the bit of positivity the doctor ordered! Don’t know what to expect, but so many people recommended it to us that my expectations are high. Ohh myyy….

At home, at the workshop and in my brain it is Uttee Chaos, but I do so love it when a plan comes together…. This experiment is the result of my attempts to get rid of a spell of terrible melancholy by doing something creative in between all the unfinished work currently waiting for me.but Boy did it turn out cool!

These are dark, dárk times. And I needed @‘something to counter the darkness. More than just my signature green, brown or grey. So it was time to revisor the Amaranth coats, the designs at the heart of Rosies Art. Size XL and XXL this time, as they seemed to be missing in my assortment. Only ⅓ done, but I am in LOVE of how they are turning out!

Its a great compliment when your kids enjoy the things you’re passionate about, so when my 11-year old Son expressed a wish to own the kind of wide coats that I love to make for Rosies Art, I just had to oblige…. Not entirely finished in the picture yet, but 95%. He now has a choice between high fantasy, Wastelander and steampunk/pirate 😬

Took is a little while untill we no longer shuffled through the house like zombies (the ache is still there though, but it is a good ache), but we’re slowly making our way back to the real world again!
Man, this year was intense! We had an absolutely wonderfull time though! All the drama was solved with the help of the wonderful volunteers of Castlefest (special thanks to Suus, Frans, Franka, Sytse, Lisa and Daan), the friends we only get to see once a year and of course our lovely customers.
I wonder if it Will ever be possible to top a Castlefest like this, because thats going to be a challenge! ❤️
