While many brands tend to play it safe and shy away from color, OFUR deliberately moves in the opposite direction. We’re drawn to bold, expressive visuals and we’re not afraid to push them. For our FONTS collection, our artist was inspired by futuristic neon puffer jackets. That visual language stuck, and it sparked the idea to translate that same inflated, padded feel into custom typography for our clothing.
The original plan was to apply this artwork on black fabrics, but during the development process we chose to place it on a white T-shirt instead. On white, the colors breathe just as much and it brought better balance to the overall collection.
Later on, these letters took on a life of their own. We scaled them up into massive stickers for our Pop Up Store in Groningen simply because of how eye-catching they are. You couldn’t walk past without noticing them.
