Of course, time has managed to get away again... it's May already and that means birthday mayhem with both my kids turning a year older this month.

However, don't give up hope, because something keeps winking at me from the top of a pile of fabric and I WILL manage to get my hands on it for more than a few seconds someday, and perform some magic with it!

Magda is the third sister of the Roses Vanilla triplets. She's made with Roses Vanilla and has the same Shui Long Mica horn they all share. Her colourful details are out of Oscha Rei Halo.

Magda might be the youngest but she's fiery and can be willful at times - but at her core she's as cuddly and loving as her sisters.

She's part of a custom order and not available for sale.

Flora is the second of sister of these gorgeous Roses Vanilla triplets. She has a Shui Long Mica horn and very colourful Sekai Rhodes hooves, mane, tail and wings.

She's bright and quirky and mischievous yet sweet and she's dying to meet her new owner!

Meet Goudsbloem, named after the unicorn from the Phoebe and her unicorn books (Goudsbloem is the translation for Marigold).

Even though I have said that I don't know if I will take any new orders, I got one very swiftly after having started back up. From my 9 year old daughter (how is she 9 already?!). So I got going with what I already had (I still have SO much in stock it isn't funny 😅) and here she is.

Made with Kasumi Felix and Rei Halo, stuffed with mulesing free German merino wool.

I think I won't be doing new orders just yet, but there might be a horse coming up next month - maybe a draw, maybe fastest fingers.

Any preferences for fabrics (or at least patterns)? Let me know!

The two siblings of gorgeous Rhea are ready to be stuffed! In the meantime I am finishing up a surprise fourth rainbow beauty.
Unexpectedly, my 9yo daughter requested her own alicorn. She'd fallen in love with Rhea's rainbow hair (and who wouldn't!) and decided she needed her own. Who am I to say no...

So this will be a feisty Rei/Kasumi alicorn just for her ❤️

Meet Rhea!

She is a VERY patient alicorn, made out of Starry Night Zeus for her fantastic rainbow mane and tail and hooves, with a touch of Shui Long Mica for her ears and horn. These combine very well with the ever classy Roses Vanilla.

She is, as always, stuffed with mulesing free German merino wool.

She's part of a custom order (there are two siblings yet to come) and not available for sale.

Well...
Looks like I am easing back into a project that has been on hold for over 2 years. For a time I was not sure I would ever return to this, but it turns out creativity brings me joy and energy and I am finally ready to pick it up again.

For now, just to deliver an order promised years ago. I am not taking on new orders. I will think about that after I have finished these three (yes, 3!) Roses Vanilla alicorns. With rainbow colours! And a hint of Mica.

I broke my middle finger and it's healing well, but my ring finger got damaged too and is now in need of some serious therapy. It is kind of frozen in that position, at an angle, and won't properly stretch (or bend).

So there won't be much new stuff to show for a while unfortunately. I expect to be able to start back up at a pretty slow pace soon, but can't really say how fast I'll be...

Really - this is the last time I make a penguin. I keep promising myself that and I also keep breaking that promise 😂. Oh well - they're funny guys, and Tibby is no exception.

He is made out of Puffins Lundy fabric. A nice green but without the orange, so the orange on this one comes from a piece of Alto Bergamote (with camel!). Puffins Lundy has a "let's use up what we have lying around" type of weft, resulting in a rather chaotic blend of 60% BCI Organic Combed Cotton 11% Bourette Silk 10% Linen 8% Wool 5% Tencel 3% Cashmere 2% Yak Hair 1% H**p.

He's a smart guy who loves to read quietly in a corner, preferably with a cup of hot cocoa. He has felt eyes and he's stuffed with mulesing free merino wool.

A lovely fox - I'm having a bit of a nostalgic moment here. The foxes are what got my little business going and I still enjoy making them a lot. I've made so many, I know the whole procedure by heart.

Percy is made with some of my Misty Mountains Namárië fabric I had. I no longer have any left, beautiful Farrah finished what I still had in stock this month. (Yes I'm still catching up on posting the ones I haven't posted yet! Percy was sent off to his home last July).

It's love for me still, this wonderful blend of 42% Britspun Suvin Gold cotton, 34% wool, 12% cashmere, 12% tussah silk. Working with it is challenging (every single time!) but this has also led to some handy improvements to the way I sew my creations.
Percy has plastic safety eyes, a felt nose and is stuffed with mulesing free German merino wool.
