Lalita Harnam - with Indian roots, born in Suriname and raised in The Netherlands, Lalita decided to follow her fashion dream and launched her private label FashCrash by Lalita in 2014. After her extensive career in the business world, Lalita sought to translate her experiences into a delicate collection of evening wear where one can detect a mix of cultures from around

the world! This collection (Orchids Collection by Lalita) was dedicated to her late parents who actually gave her the opportunity to follow her dreams. After winning three awards in her first year (Best Designer Award Amersfoort Fashion Event 2014”, “Best designer recycle outfit for Miss Avantgarde 2015” and winner “Best designer gala dress for Miss Avantgarde 2015”) she was sure that her passion was now her mission. With national and international fair productions, she will be launching a full ready to wear collection in 2016, which will be shown during the "Arnhem Fashion Week" in June 2016. She is also founder of real estate company CIRA Group BV focused on building houses in Suriname and co-owner at Gul & Harnam Clinics, a private clinic in Istanbul focused on hairtransplantation and hair restoration. She is also member of the Dutch Lion Awards Board and volunteer at the management team of VELO Wateringen focused on girls soccer.
