Sekimori-Ishi (関守石) small
The Japanese “guard stone” from tea gardens

A quiet gatekeeper for your garden or home. Inspired by the tea gardens of Kyoto, where hosts guide their guests with subtle elegance. Crafted with stones from the Dutch Maas River, each rock is unique. This “stopping stone” brings two cultures together in one simple gesture.

Inspired by Japanese design, made in the Netherlands.

Each stone is uniquely shaped by nature, the final piece may differ slightly from the images shown.

't Antwerps Kantwinkeltje is closing its doors.

The shop sits on the Handschoenmarkt, the small square beside the Cathedral of Our Lady, Antwerp's old center, where stepped gable houses in brick and sandstone still line the square much as they did centuries ago. One facade nearby carries the date 1564, crowned with a gilded bird catching the light above the rooftops.

Look up at the cathedral itself and the detail multiplies. Tier upon tier of carved saints and bishops set into the stonework of the portal, sheltered under ribbed Gothic arches, with narrative reliefs of biblical scenes carved directly into the wall beside the door. Centuries of stonemasons' work, still standing.

It's in this setting, old brick, old stone, old craft, that the last lace shop in the city has operated. 't Antwerps Kantwinkeltje: handmade Flemish and Bruges lace, sold the way it has been for a hundred years. Not lace "inspired by," but the work itself: veils, collars, tablecloths, doilies, each one hours of thread and patience.

With the shop's closing, something disappears that doesn't easily come back. We've been able to acquire a selection of their lace for AVEC AVEC STORE.

BLACK TEE [01]
Weight you can feel. The BLACK TEE is cut from 7.5oz heavyweight cotton, garment dyed for a worn-in depth of colour. Dropped shoulders, extra width, a slightly shorter length. A boxy silhouette that stands on its own. An everyday piece, built to be lived in.

EXOSKELETON SHIRT [02] / [03]

Handmade Bruges Lace Single Bloom
Sourced directly from The Antwerp Lace Shop — the last lace shop in the city, closing after more than three generations of a family dedicated to the craft of lace. A handmade Bruges lace piece with a single bloom.

At its centre, a single flower grows between flowing leaves and sculptural, looping borders. Each detail was shaped by hand using a technique now practiced by only a handful of artisans in Europe.

Part textile, part drawing and part disappearing history. Acquired shortly before the shop’s permanent closure, this piece is available in extremely limited numbers.

Notes from Kyoto. Lace is everywhere in the city's taxis. Seat covers, headrests, rear shelves. It began as a postwar gesture of cleanliness and hospitality and never left.

Celebrating beauty through daily use. This is what we mean when we talk about Tomoni.

Handmade Bruges Lace Twin Bloom

Sourced directly from The Antwerp Lace Shop — the last lace shop in the city, now closing after more than three generations devoted to the craft.

Handmade using the traditional Bruges lace technique, this delicate piece features two blooming flowers connected by winding stems and ornamental curls. The open structure gives the lace an almost drawn quality, as though the motif has been sketched in thread.

We sourced only a small number before the shop closes its doors for good. Once they are gone, they cannot be replaced.

S.NATURE Aqua Squalane Moisturizing Cream

Seoul has a way of raising the bar for skincare. Olive Young — the city's beloved beauty chain — stocks hundreds of products, but this one kept ending up in our basket. After visiting on our last trip, we got obsessed with the Moisturizing Cream by S.NATURE Aqua Squalane. Of all the creams we've tried, this one is just the best.

Hydration that goes beyond the surface. This cream from S.NATURE combines 150,000ppm ultra-pure squalane with eight forms of hyaluronic acid for moisture that's genuinely felt — not just promised. The patented Aquaxyl complex (glucose + xylitol) locks in hydration and keeps skin plump and supple throughout the day, without any heaviness or residue.

Vitamin B5 soothes and restores. The formula absorbs quickly, is free from preservatives, artificial fragrances and surfactants, and is well-suited for sensitive or reactive skin. Apply as the final step of your routine, gently pressing into the skin for full absorption.

Suitable for: dry, sensitive and mature skin — and any skin type in need of serious hydration.
