A year with a few projects, yet some life changing events which changed the course of TERRORKITTENS drastically..

recap of 2024
1. Outfit for amazing artist .bel for Cadeaufabriek
2. I moved to another studio with an amazing view and with a mini me in the making

4. Creating a costume for with space for my belly
5. The terrible sad loss of our sweet, little, fur baby Mister Snoei..😔 almost 20 years old and such a special creature 🩷Just one day before giving birth

7. The main project of the year -which took a lot blood, sweat and tears- Costumes and scenography for “Body of Goodbyes” with , premiered on the day that I gave birth

“Body of Goodbyes” 2024 made by Teddy Shouldn’t Smoke, Show Pony and me; Terrorkittens ✨ scenography and costume design. 🫧
Why are we so hard on our bodies?
Body of Goodbyes goes in search of comfort and love for your body.
Choreographer and dancer Marijke de Vos knows better than anyone else that you only
have one body, and you should take care of it. 🫧 For this project Annique Nahumury got inspired by the Russian constructivists Tatlin, Popova and Stepanova. A construct which is based on geometrical movement of the body was a clear and minimalistic starting point to get to know the body more and better.
Nahumury came up with the idea of a factory in which the ideal dancer was created. This idea fitted perfectly in the industrial style of the Russian constructivists.

Ofcourse it’s not an ordinary factory but one with soft colors and esthetic shapes. A factory you like to look at. With this she confuses and does it make the spectator also feel guilty may be?
