Linen is one of the oldest materials known to humankind.

Yet it remains unchanged in its essence -
shaped by time, by hand, by use.

I wrote a longer piece on this, exploring the story behind flax and linen - from its earliest origens to its place in contemporary craft.

Linen is not only a fabric.
It is time, made visible.

It carries the memories of fields, of hands, of quiet processes repeated over centuries. A material shaped slowly - and worn just as quietly.

There is a clarity in linen that continues to draw me back. A balance between strength and softness, between structure and air.

A longer story on linen is now on the journal.

Spring, in its quiet arrival.

Light touches the skin, the air softens, and movement returns — effortless, unrestrained.
The African Nomads — Berber collection follows this rhythm.

Knitted in a refined blend of linen and cotton, each piece carries the breath of the season: light, dry, natural. Linen — one of the oldest fibres known to humankind — requires minimal water, fertilisers and intervention, growing in quiet harmony with the land. Paired with soft cotton, it creates a fabric that feels both grounded and fluid.

The graphic structures are inspired by Berber traditions — patterns shaped over time, speaking of landscape, ritual and daily life. Reinterpreted in knit, they become subtle, modern, and deeply tactile.

Designed to move with you.
To catch the light.
To mark the beginning of a new season.

Yesterday, I walked through TEFAF Maastricht — and it felt less like an art fair, more like a quiet passage through time, hand, and soul.

From refined line drawings to centuries-old sculptures, from fragile masks to intricately woven forms — everywhere the same quiet intensity. You don’t just see it, you feel it: the devotion with which each piece was made. The concentration. The time embedded in every detail. The generations of knowledge carried forward, almost invisibly.

What moved me most was the absence of ego.
No need to shout. No urge to impress.
Only a deep, almost humble intention to create something that is true — something in service of something greater.

To tradition.
To belief.
To the craft itself.

As if the maker stepped aside, allowing the work to speak.

And perhaps that is what true beauty does:
it doesn’t demand attention — it resonates.

It brought me back to my own atelier. To the way I choose to work. With attention. With respect for material and technique. With the awareness that as a maker, you are part of something larger — a continuum that extends far beyond yourself.

Yesterday felt like a quiet confirmation.
That softness can hold strength.
That devotion becomes visible.
And that true luxury may lie precisely there: in stillness, in attention, in the willingness to serve.

That is where I choose to remain.

A single accessory can transform an entire silhouette.

The Elements scarf does exactly that — introducing quiet structure, depth and refinement to even the most minimal outfit. The graphic two-tone jacquard catches the light subtly, adding texture and character without ever feeling loud. An effortless way to elevate everyday tailoring into something distinctly high-end.

Knitted from 100% GOTS-certified mercerised organic cotton, the yarn has a soft silky sheen, a smooth touch and natural breathability — perfect for those who prefer a refined accessory without wool.

Designed by Miriam Lenarts and locally crafted in small series in the Netherlands, each scarf reflects Studio Myr’s commitment to thoughtful design and responsible craftsmanship.

Light. Modern. Timeless.
