If you don’t like the Jasmine Stitch.. you should try AGAIN! 💫

This isn’t just something I say. I really mean it.

👉 Trying again is the KEY to falling in love with the stitch! 🌸

Please don’t quit after your first (or even third) try 💜

Good things take time. Great things take a little longer.

There is an “aha moment” with the Jasmine Stitch. With patience, you WILL get there. And it’s so worth it!

Many of my students have told me they couldn’t do it at first.

They’ve then set their work aside overnight…
…and totally nailed it the next day 💪

So here’s my heartfelt advice:

✨ Give yourself some grace, and TRY AGAIN!

Soon, you might say like Marina:

“Thanks to you I finally understood the Jasmine Stitch after many unsuccessful attempts”

The Jasmine Stitch with 4 petals is easier than the classic with 6 petals 💪 And here is how to do it!

Instead of making clusters with 3 petals together like you do for the classic Jasmine Stitch,

skip the second flower center and make a cluster with only 2 petals.

Secure the 9 loops on your hook with 1 sc + 1 ch st like you normally do (details 👇)

Yarn over. Pinch working yarn (the yarn below the hook) to secure (see how I do this with my left hand in the video!).

Turn your hook so that the hook part points down. Carefully pull the yarn through all 9 loops on the hook.

Keep pinching the yarn in your left hand. An opening appears below this yarn.

Insert hook through the opening made below the pinched yarn. Yarn over and pull through the first loop on your hook (not both).

You now have 2 loops on the hook, one on each side of the 9 loops.

Yarn over and pull through both loops on the hook. Tighten. Ch 1.

You have secured your 9 loops with 1 sc + 1 ch and finished your Petal Stitch Cluster with 2 petals (psc2).

That’s it! Keep going like that!
