!!!DÅLL IS ONE YEAR!!!
🎉🎈🎊🎈🎉
It's actually one year since I launched Dåll - and started this adventure into dollmaking with you guys 😃🙌💕 And it has surely been an adventure! 😍

I have met so many wonderful, supportive and inspiring people. 😚 I have sent my little personas off to Canada, England, Texas, Norway and Oregon - to name a few.🌎 I have made over 25 Dålls, all uniqe and special. 👧🏾👩🏼‍⚕️👴 I have expanded my range to include: Påcket Dålls, mermen dålls, baby dålls and pregnant dålls.🤰👶🏾 And I've had a creative draught for at least two periods 😥😁

Over all: I'm very happy with this year of dollmaking, I hope you are too 😄 I hope I can keep the inspiration up and that you guys want to follow me on my next year of adventures - I got some ideas 😚

🙌🎉Have I got news for you! 🎉🙌 This has been a dream for a long time and yesterday I finally managed to sit down and it just poured out of me in a hurry 😍 It's a Dåll baby ❤👶❤ I'm crazy proud of it and feel all new-mom-ish 😆

Hi and hello, I'm Turi Marte😀 I'm 28, norwegian and I have just finished my Masters degree in applied linguistics and nordic languages📚 I now work at the University in Trondheim, NTNU, and my plan is to apply for a scholarship to write my Doctoral thesis, in October 🙈💛 That was a lot of complicated work-life stuff... 😥💼 But I love University and my area of expertise is: Writing and communication 😁✏ 💬

BUT I also started 💙Dåll💙 in late January! 😄 I missed having a creative outlet in my life and doll making just suddenly came to me... 💕 I'm a self taught internet maker who learned to knit first in 2012 (and it really blew out of proportions in 2015-2016!), I've been cross stitching since 2012, and I learned to crochet in March and sew in December 2016 😁 Quite an explosive curve there... 🙊 And when I made my first doll I just felt something click, finally I could make all the little personas I've been drawing since childhood 😄🤣 It was an amazing moment 💜

My goal for Dåll is for it to be a wonderous creative space for me👌Environment friendly with second hand fabrics and reused card board ♻️💕🌍 And for all Dålls to be one of a kind dolls with a lot of personality and love stitched in them 😍❤ So it's never gonna be a great big production or mass production or anything, I'm right where I want to be - thanks to you sweethearts 😚🌟

I'm sooo happy with my decision to give Åsean long hair 💖💙💖💜 It was his true destiny, and it was important to follow my intuition 😍 Åsean has also wrapped an old fish net with sea w**d around him 😌🌿🐟

Åsean says hi! 💙💞 Waving your way with his arms with fins 😁 I think he'll have long hair instead of short (both arms and hair is just pinned in place right now) but I couldn't wait to show you guys how charming he is 😚👌🏼🐟 [He's reserved guys]

Some of my regular sized Dålls! They are approx 45 cm long, filled with allergic friendly polyester filling and made out of a uniqe doll pattern design by Turi Marte Brandt Ånerud. They have jointed legs and arms :) Often knitted beards, knitted or crocheted hair, or loose yarn hair, or felt hair... Face, bellybutton and ni***es are hand embroidered and they all got a hand embroidered Dåll tag on their back. They come with a handmade authenticity certificate, and is shipped in an environmental friendly cardboard package. They are made in an animal and smoke free environment, clothes is repurposed second hand clothing or hand knitted/crocheted.

Åke says hi🙋‍♂️ He turned out to be quite a hipster I think! 😄💜 He's ready to travel with his awesome t-shirt that says: "kul bart" which means "cool mustache" in Norwegian 😄😜
