"This piece like most others was and still is very personal - it was created to fill in the void of missing home. I grew up and lived almost half my life away from home. When I finally returned, I felt like I didn't belong. Today I belong, not because I just got used to being home but because I chose to stay, dive in to find and understand who I was and I'm still trying to better understand so much of what "Home" is to me and others around me. I also painfully know, it is a place I've taken for granted, a place I feel will always exist but it's not true for everyone.
What truly is "home"? It is just a place, our dialect, food, traditions, art, history, family/ friends? Just a name on the map? The flag? Is it just symbolic? Just memories? The need to belong?"
