Our Brand Name comes from the language of the indigenous mountain people who first produced cloth out of the Himalayan Giant Stinging Nettle(Allo). puaqua® combines two words: “pua” (“puwa”) – “Himalayan Giant Nettle” (Allo in Nepalese ) and “qua” (“kwa”) – “clothes”. Together they provide the meaning of Nettle’s Dress or Dress made out of Nettles.
