आजकाे दिन राति अबेर सम्म धनधान्यकी देवी माता लक्ष्मी भगवान काे पूजा अर्चना गरिन्छ।
घरमा भएका सम्पूर्ण द्रव्ये, गरगहना अनि श्री सम्पतिलाई लक्ष्मी गणेश र सरस्वतीको स्थापना गरेर पूजा गरिन्छ। केराका खाबाहरु अर्थात् थम्बाहरुलाई वैदिक सनातन हिन्दू संस्कारमा अत्यन्त महत्व पूर्ण लिइन्छ।
वर्षै भरी खुसी अनि उत्साहको प्रवेश होस।

हिन्दू धर्मावलम्बीहरुले वडा दशैं लगत्तै मनाउने अर्को ठूलो र महत्वपूर्ण चाडकाे हो - तिहार अर्थात् यमपञ्चक । यही तिहारको पहिलो र महत्वपूर्ण दिनलाई नै काग तिहार भनिन्छ। तिहार पर्व अन्तर्गत कार्तिक कृष्ण त्रयोदशी देखि कार्तिक शुल्क द्वितीया तिथिसम्म पाँच दिन मनाइने तिहार पर्वको आरम्भ काग तिहार बाट हुन्छ। काग तिहार कार्तिक कृष्ण त्रयोदशीका दिन पर्दछ। काग तिहार कागलाई यमराजको सन्देश वाहकका रूपमा पूजा गरिन्छ। काग तिहारका दिन मात्र कागलाई सम्मानका साथ पूजा गर्ने र खाने कुरा दिने चलन रहेको छ।

बडा दशैको लगतै आउने नेपलीहरुको अर्को महत्वपूर्ण चाड तिहार सबैको घर दैलोमा आइसकेको छ ।
आजबाट यमपञ्चक सुरु भएको छ। यम पन्चक्को हरेक दिन्को आ आफ्नै धार्मिक मान्याताहरु रहेका छन।
आज धन त्रयोदशी अर्थात धनतेरस। बिसेस गरि दीपावलीको किनमेलको लागि आजको दिन निक्कै उतम मानिन्छ।
आजको दिन खरिद गरेका सामग्रीहरु राखेर लक्ष्मी पुजा गरेमा लक्ष्मी माता खुसी भई हामीलाई धनधान्यले सम्पन्न गराउने जनविश्वास छ।

The ninth day of Dashain is called Mahanavami, "the great ninth day". This is the last day of Navaratri. Ceremonies and rituals reach a peak on this day. On this day, official military ritual sacrifices are held in one of the Hanuman Dhoka royal palaces, the Kot courtyard.

Maha Astami is the great eighth day of the Dasain festival. On this day, Goddess Taleju Bhawani: another name of Goddess Durga Bhawani is brought from the majestic temple to the one-storey building called ‘Dasain ghar’ at the ancient palace in Kathmandu and other ancient towns throughout Nepal for making offering to the Goddess Taleju Bhavani on the occasion of the Dasain festival.
