I can't believe this, once again, the start of another year. So, Lord, I pray, double the bank balance in 2026 and half the body fat, because last year you got it back to front. Amen.

Did you know:

Family Stores depend on your donations, therefor we are very thankful for every donation we receive.
Family Stores can collect your donation from your home. You can book a collection at the Pukekohe Family store or by phoning 09 238 9946 or 0800 53 00 00.
We have a trusted team of collectors who will collect your donations FOR FREE.
You can also donate at the back of our store, on Devon Lane, Pukekohe, during opening hours 9.30 to 4.30, Monday to Saturday.

These are all options of Donating.

Leaving your goods outside the store, outside of business hours, is not considered donating. It is seen as dumping, which is Illegal.
Please be mindful of other businesses around us, the volunteers and staff who pick up the rubbish outside to keep our store clean.
Please be aware that if you do leave your goods outside, it cannot be used as donations in the store. Especially when it rains and everything gets wet, or when the community decides to rummage through your goods, leaving a bigger mess.
Please be considerate of our business hours and if that is not possible, please feel free to contact us to collect your donation at a convenient time for all.

We dream on a clean environment, health and safety of our team and the means to provide good, affordable items to the community.
Please help us in reaching this dream, we cannot do this without you!

Today is World Day Against Trafficking in Persons. This year’s theme is "Human Trafficking is Organized Crime - End the Exploitation"

Did you know that human trafficking happens in our territory? The Salvation Army is actively involved in ending exploitation by supporting victims and survivors of this crime.

There are a number of ways you can get involved and respond...

1. Email your MP - Advocate for Modern Slavery Legislation. We need 61 MPs to unite and pass bills that protect people from exploitation in Aotearoa New Zealand and abroad. Your voice matters.

2. Donate to frontline organisations working to stop the trafficking of people - The Salvation Army is training personnel globally to identify trafficking risks and support survivors. Your donation helps expand this vital work.

3. Join our global webinar - African Survivor Coalition Webinar: Unity as a Protection Against Organized Crime. Register here: https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/fYb3ZDr7RaG8xnSUajN0CA #/registration

ANZAC Day – Lest We Forget

This ANZAC Day, we pause to honour the courage, sacrifice, and service of all Australians and New Zealanders who have served — and continue to serve — in times of war, conflict, and peacekeeping.

As a mark of respect, all Family Stores will be closed on Friday, 25 April.

We encourage everyone to take a moment to reflect and remember those who gave so much for the freedoms we enjoy today.

Lest we forget.
