Personal projects for a work wardrobe - 100% cotton in a lighter weight is great when you live the PPE life! Although I get lots of nice comments, I don't know that there's a huge market for scrub tops when it takes a minimum of $20 in materials (1.5m of fabric) and $30-$40 in labour costs alone (1.5-2 hours for me to make one of these to a standard I consider acceptable) when you can buy them for $35...handmade is not cheaper if you consider that your time is worth at least minimum wage. On the other hand, I have RAINBOW UNICORN SCRUBS

The "Lucy" mask in black gingham has super-long fabric ties (90cm!) that are incredibly versatile for styling - wrapped around like a headband, tied up in a bow, or casually behind the head.

I initially started Refind Style wanting to follow my passion for second-hand alternative and vintage fashion as well as providing a space to explore my creative outlet, sewing. This year, many of my life plans were put on hold with a certain global pandemic and the associated restrictions - so as we locked down, I turned back to sewing.

Like most makers, I initially started sewing reusable cloth masks for myself, friends, and family back in 2020, but this year quickly got sick of sore ears as well feeling like my masks just weren't stylish enough sometimes. I decided to make some bow masks after being frustrated that I couldn't find any local options. Although I got to drool over some of the designs available overseas, international designers meant slow, expensive international shipping.
Following multiple requests from my flatmate and orders from friends, I am now making these available for sale for others who want to wear their mask...and make it fashion!
