Been resurrecting him for the last couple of days so he can come to Te Uru on Sunday to teach with me 😊

A few pics from yesterday's pamphlet stitching workshop. Four lovely attendees made 2 notebooks each (one with a soft cover, one with a hard cover.) They did so well!

I actually didnt take any other photos 🤣 I often dont! Its so nice to be present and enjoy the people and the craft.

PAMPHLET STITCHING

FRIDAY 21ST AUGUST / 11AM TO 3PM

This workshop is great for beginners upward.

Make 2 notebooks- a soft cover and a hard cover using a simple sewing technique.

The main focus is using adhesive to make a hard cover.

It follows the "Sewn Books" workshop really nicely, or as a stand alone. It's also a good one to do before the "Making Cloth" workshop and really rounding off a great set of binding skills!

The Binding Studio will be teaching at Te Uru in Titirangi on August 30th.

This is a perfect workshop for writers, poets, designers, and architects - anyone who has ever wanted a book truly their own.

Using a classic sewn structure, a soft cover and no adhesive, this is an ideal introduction to bookbinding: a gentle entry point into sewing techniques and a stepping stone to binding at home.

High quality, pre-cut materials are provided. Each participant leaves with a beautiful A5 book to keep.
