Took me a long time to learn this! Had to unlearn all the "be nice( nagging in my head...)", "they didn't really mean it", "you're too sensitive", "give her another chance", "but she's part of the family now", ""...etc. BU****IT! I've heard them all. Now I only listen to my intuition.
YOU ARE TOXIC TO ME AND MY FAMILY. . .I REGRETTED THE DAY I ENCOURAGED THAT SOMEONE TO GIVE YOU ANOTHER 2ND, 3RD OR 9TH CHANCE. .I SHOULDN'T HAVE AND I SHOULD'VE INSTEAD LISTENED TO MY HUSBAND, MY BEST FRIENDS AND MY FAMILY. THAT ONE REGRETTABLE DECISION ALMOST RUINED MY OWN FAMILY THAT I'VE BEEN KNITTING FOR 6 LONG YEARS.
No need to romanticize some savior dynamic anymore. I just learned yesterday to walk AWAY from the TOXICITY because ultimately there ARE people out there for me and my family who will be a much better fit.
You know why you're TOXIC? Please google TRUE NARCISSISTS and I hope one day you'll learn to forgive yourself from all the chaos you've created so that CHANGE will be RECOGNIZABLE for you.
