Shoe Sheriff Est 1938 Today it is managed and owned my Allan Croads son Peter Croad. Thank-you to all our loyal customers who have supported us over the years.

The cobble shop was est by Allan Croad more than 40 years ago...till this day the Croad family have kept the shoe repair buisness going in the heart of New Market.. New Market has changed alot since Allan Croad ran The Cobble shop all those years ago...but one thing remains the same...Our dedication to proper customer service and our strive for excellance in every repair.

Hi to everyone, my apologies to anyone waiting for a reply to an email. Unfortunately I’m backed up with a 1000 plus unread emails. Unfortunately I’m so slow at writing replies (I finger typing) might just pay to call me on 021 2103183. I’m always listening to audio library books on my blue tooth ear phones, so lm pretty contactable, if I miss your call I’ll call back, unless your number blocked or you’re calling on your work phone and the receptionist wouldn’t have a clue who called me. Morning to all my customers and friends, the Shoe Sheriff is now fully operational. Power has been on since last Thursday night and finally got the eftpos on yesterday(Wednesday). Many thanks to all the electricians, builders, plumbers and the team from the body corporate -LY Holding, Wendy, Nadia and Henry. Those three, especially Wendy have been out answering questions and organising the trades people, great job you guys 👍👍, cheers Pete

To all my customers, because of the fire in the basement of our building which has burnt out the power supply we not open today the 20th of April, however the body corporate hopes to have a generator operational tomorrow 🤞. So I’m going in tomorrow to see if we can open, cheers Peter.

Hi, it's Peter from the Shoe Sheriff our Xmas hours are 7:30 am till 6 pm weekdays 8:30am till 6 pm Friday and 10 till 1 pm Saturday, we will be closed from 6pm Friday the 23th of December and reopening on Wednesday the 11th of January. Merry Christmas and a happy new year 🥳 see you soon cheers.

Finally Shoe Sheriff is moving this week 14 to 21 of March and hopefully reopening next Monday 22/3🤞at the new premises, The Station Square Building shop K14 28 Remuera road, which is on the northern side,nine shops up from Broadway is a walkway into the station square and we are the last shop on the right, beside 9 Round (circuit marshal arts training) and opposite Inspire Dental. To all our valued customers, we are reopening today Wednesday 6/10/2021, we tried opening under the last level 3 and very few people came in. In fact some days it wasn’t even worth the cost of the petrol driving in. That’s largely because 90% of the rest of Newmarket was closed and it’s about the same is this level 3 as well. But I’ve been getting a lot of calls this time from you my customers and Enroy and I have made the decision to open today. We will be serving people from the front door, please wear a mask and sign in and we’ll see how it goes. We will try normal hours Monday to Thursday 7:30 to 6 pm, Friday 8:30 to 6 and 10am till 1pm. If we’re quiet we might scale the hours. Cheers Pete.

Shoe Sheriff is still operating from 332 Broadway at this stage 28/4, having trouble getting the new shop at the Station Square arcade finished because the tradespeople mostly builder is super busy. He really only has to finish the skirting in the shop and then the painter has to come in after him and finish off. So probably at this stage end of June, start of July hopefully. The problem then it’s traditional right in the middle of our busy time (winter). So don’t be surprised if this date gets extended out. There doesn’t seem to be any pressure from Tramco our landlord to get out. So we are just renting month to month.
