After a lot of soul-searching (and quite a few tears), I’ve made the difficult decision to close the doors of our beautiful Sole Sisters store at the end of June. Our last trading day will be Saturday, 27 June.
As you are all aware, retail has changed dramatically in recent years/months, and despite giving it absolutely everything, the reality is that small independent stores are finding it harder and harder to survive.
But this isn’t goodbye to Sole Sisters. Not even close. ❤️
I know that there will be a lot of sadness over the closing of the shop because there’s been a shoe shop in Mairangi Bay for decades. But! While I am saying goodbye to the physical Mairangi Bay shopfront, I’m not giving up the personalised service, honest advice, shoe fittings, comfort expertise, and sisterhood that so many of you have supported over the years.
Going forward, Sole Sisters will continue in a more personal way — offering by-appointment fittings from my home in Browns Bay, and if preferred , I’ll come to you.
For those of you who know your favourite brands, sizes and styles, the online store will continue too. You can always check out the stock available at www.solesisters.co.nz
To every single person who has shopped local, shared a post, popped in for a chat, brought friends, trusted me with tricky feet, or simply encouraged me along the way — thank you. You have meant more than you know.
