To our dearest Kānise customers, near and far,
It breaks our hearts to write this, but we know how much you all meant to our dear mother. With deepest sadness, we share that after a long and brave battle with cancer, our mother the founder of Kānise peacefully returned to our Heavenly Maker on 5 November 2025 at 9:36pm, surrounded by her loved ones.
As the scripture reminds us
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
2 Timothy 4:7
It has been almost two weeks since her passing, and only now have we gathered the courage to let her customers know. 😔
Throughout her battle, many of you continued to message us with kindness, support, and requests for orders. It makes this announcement even harder, but it is with great regret that we share this heartbreaking news.
Our mother always dreamed of starting her own business and in 2018, that dream became Kānise. From that very first year until today, your love and support have carried her, our family, and her little business further than she ever imagined. We weren’t always perfect, we made mistakes along the way but you all showed her grace, loyalty, and unwavering support. For that, we will forever be grateful.
For now, we will be placing Kānise on hold as we grieve, heal, and honour her memory. But we promise that we will return, and we will carry on Mum’s legacy with the same love, humility, and dedication she poured into every order.
