After creating hair bows for myself and friends for a few years, I thought, why not take my love and passion of creating hair bows and take it to the people?! And thus, The Scarlett Rabbit was born. Scarlett is named for my daughter, Scarlett and Rabbit for my son, Oscar, his nickname in utero was Rabbit and he occasionally gets called Rabbit, as he does love jumping and bouncing around the house.
Last year, I fell ill with Medullary Thyroid Cancer, a rare type of thyroid cancer that is only 3-5% of thyroid cancers each year. Thankfully, it was entirely operable and other than my thyroid being removed and my top Left hand thyroid in my neck being removed, I am cancer free. Recovery was slow and getting my medication right is still a weekly struggle but, having my supportive and loving partner, Brad and beautiful children, by my side every step of the way and loving parents, Vicki and Steve, I couldn't ask for a better family to help me through. So, what was next? Doing something I love. Creating, crafting and imagining hair bows. How could something so simple not really be done yet? I adore Disney and Pixar movies and any other cartoon for that matter, and I watch them on a daily basis, with or without my children! So, why not start crafting bows with a theme? The Miss Walt Collection came to fruition and The Miss Burton Collection followed and is still being added to as we speak. But, I thought to myself, why stop there? Open yourself to bespokeing, Claude! Collaborating with clients to get an excited reaction of love and appreciation for something that I love doing? Priceless. Fulfilling. I could keep describing that feeling! What does your heart and imagination want? There is absolutely no limitation to colour, theme, pattern, size etc the sky is the limit! I love what I do.
