NAME: Neve Christina IWIKAU-POI

AGE: 19 Years

VILLAGE (S) HAKUPU ATUA/ AVATELE

CITY: West Auckland, NZ

Fakaalofa Lahi Atu, I hail from the villages of Hakupu Atua and Avatele. I proudly belong to the Tauelima, Fatatautama and Siono families. I'm also part Maori and come from the tribes Tuwharetoa, Nga Puhi and Te Arawa.

I was previous student at MIT studying Performing Arts and decided to take this year off to come right with my mental health which was the best decision I've ever made.

My passion lies within our Pasifika people, their cultures and the arts - Pacific dancing has always been my source of empowerment.

My goal as a contestant in this pageant is to create a platform to promote our Pacific Cultures through Performing Arts.

I look forward to sharing what's left of my journey with all those who have supported me thus far.
I'm extremely grateful to everyone whose helped in any way, shape or form and only hope that come the 23rd of November, I leave each one of you with something to remember.

Please keep in mind that colours and styles will be limited and will be given on a first in first served basis!! They will be the mixed style double leis at $50 a Headband - ORDERS CAN BE COLLECTED FROM YARRABILBA (POSTAGE/DELIVERY CAN BE ARRANGED AT AN ADDITONAL COST) 😊 Payment will secure order....

- So a few weeks ago, Beautiful Nana Tai celebrated her 70th Birthday and wore a Pare Ei made of fresh Ti Leaves and Cymbidium Orchids - I felt inspired and wanted to recreate something using artificial flowers and well, this is the result! Not exactly the same but close enough and it’ll last forever 😉
