Small group sewing lessons for beginners and beyond

With todays weather you may be forgiven for thinking it is winter but it is actually the perfect time time to start planning your spring and summer wardrobe. Beginners sewing classes are back from 6 October so if you want to brush up on your sewing skills or perhaps you have no skills at all and would like to make your own clothes, head along to my website and sign up. After 5 weeks of classes you will be rewarded with a new top you can proudly say you made yourself.

It is starting to get cold out there so it is the perfect time to make a coat. There are some really good beginner and intermediate coat patterns out there if you have limited skills. Pictured here are Tessuti Berlin and Tessuti Sydney in boiled wool and The Sewing Revival Mallard Coat which is a good intermediate coat. If you would like a new coat for winter but are concerned about tackling it on your own, I can help you. I have spaces available in both my Thursday evening and Tuesday morning classes.

Spent a relaxing two hours this morning with a lovely student who is finishing her version of The Sewing Revival Fantail Top while wearing one of my own versions of this top. There is a new top in the studio on this frosty morning. This is The Sewing Revival Heron Shirt made in a mystery cotton type crepe picked up on the sale table at Fabric Vision. This time I made the gathered sleeve version but made mine slightly less full due to fabric constraints.

Beginners Sewing Classes are back from 5 May. I have two spaces left in the Thursday evening class and 4 in Tuesday morning combined Beginners and Beyond Beginners starting 3 May. Bookings are now also open for Tuesday evening Beyond Beginners class . Beginners have the choice of the three tops in the picture, all by The Sewing Revival. If you have always wanted to learn to sew and didn't think you were capable, this class is for you. Bookings are on a first come first served basis. I still have 3 spaces available for Tuesday morning sewing class and 1 space for Tuesday evening. This class is suitable for anybody with a bit of sewing experience. If you are concerned about missing classes due to illness, you can book and pay on a weekly basis.

Bookings are open now for Advanced Beginners and Beyond Sewing Classes. These will begin on Tuesday 29th March and run for six weeks. There are two classes running, one at 9.30am and one at 6.30pm. You have the option of booking for the entire 6 week block or booking individual classes if that works for you better. You can find out more at www.sewnstylestudio.com
