🤸‍♂️Gymnastics Fundraiser 🫶🏼 Wheat Bag 🌟 $25 each 🤸🏼‍♀️

Competition season has begun for Paige’s gymnastics so she has raiding my fabrics and is making (🤔 has me making) wheat bags to fundraise for competition season.

Her target is to sell 250 specifically for her away competitions and NZ Nationals. All proceeds go directly to costs (flights, accommodation, transportation, uniforms, entrance fees, etc).

Gymnastics is a tough sport and requires a serious level of self discipline and commitment to compete in. It blows my mind everytime I see her compete with the skills she is doing.

Paige had good start last weekend in Blenheim picking up 2nd All Around, 1st Floor, 1st Beam, 2 Vault and 4th Uneven Bars. This weekend she is heading to Tri-Star/Auckland; then has Wellington, Timaru, and back to Auckland competitions ahead.

Paige and I would love your help in getting her around the country by buying a wheat bag or 2.

Each Wheat bag has 3 compartments •
$25 each • If you’re close to us, Paige will deliver or Courier $ 10 - $18 (depending on quantity) + Rural $5.70.

Finally had time to get to “@ Now and Forever Images” and collected my birthday art. It took me so long to work out how I wanted these framed (like 2.5 years 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣). I’m super happy! Now to decide if it’s in the studio or house 😂

Miss helps me pack your orders. She has taken on finding masks for order checking and addresses your courier bags.

Yesterday when finished she wanted to make masks for her friends. She started with 3 ladybugs (her “fabric selection” which yes will be in the shop soon).

She was a tough on herself, comparing my skills to her own. It was interesting explaining how I sew as much as she does gymnastics (plus a few years) so if we switched and I had never practiced gym, did she think I could win a gymnastics competition.

Watching her after that was enlightening…a little stitch un-picking and patience. Using a template, picking fabric, ironing, setting her template, cutting, finding cotton, learning to tread a machine, sewing, exploding with frustration when she messed up, pinning, sewing and ironing to her final product - the joy in her completion. Her excitement says it all.

Two of her friends enjoyed receiving her handmade masks today 🐞❤️😷
